How do I prepare for XGMT (XIMB)?
As far as preparation for any exam is concerned, my advice to you would be to know the syllabus as well as the paper pattern. This would help you study better. Knowing the syllabus proves to be quite important as it will give a clear idea regarding what you have to prepare for the exam.
Paper Pattern:
The test consists of various multiple-choice questions which are based on five sections. These sections include:
- Quantitative aptitude
- Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning
- Verbal ability
- Emotional quotient
- General awareness
There is a time limit for every section. A downside to this exam is the fact that you will be given negative marking for every wrong answer you mark.
The pattern and syllabus are similar to those observed in other exams like CAT and XAT. The total duration of the exam is about 120 minutes.
In my opinion, look at the syllabus you have to study and have effective time management as you have in any other exam. This should help you score better and you can look at the questions you are scoring less in to improve your overall grade.

How is Ambedkar University Delhi for BA in Economics and Psychology?
Ambedkar University, Delhi is a new university and it comes under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government. It is mostly known for its Humanities courses like Sociology, Phycology, Economics, etc. It has better faculties compared to DU. Almost all faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees. As it is a small institute, the quality of education offered is quite good. They also offer many subject choices for these courses. However, the placement scenario of the institute is not that good.
What are Mithibai College degree timings?
The timing for degree college students are alloted according to their degree.
The timings for respective degree classes are as follow:
First Year : 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Second and Third Year : 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
These timings are for science stream students only.
For Arts and Commerce students the timing is the same but the time range varies as their subjects do not have practicals. Their lectures get over before the science stream students.
BMS and some other un-aided departments have lectures between 12 PM and 2:40 PM for the first or third-year students. Science students usually have lectures from 7–11 AM, followed by practicals till 4 PM which can extend upto 5 PM.
What key things should I compulsorily know before joining SVNIT Surat?
Here are some things you should know about SVNIT before joining the college-
- SVNIT has one of the best hostels in India among technical institutes. The hostels for third and final year boys are great, but first and second year hostels are also good.
- It is up to you to make new friends by interacting with people in your hostel, your classes, and the college clubs and societies.
- The professors are decent in some of the departments, and not up to the mark in others. First and second year students are mostly taught by teaching assistants. It is your responsibility to gain knowledge from your teachers.
- The college gym facility is excellent. The Badminton, Lawn Tennis and Basketball courts are decent. There is a huge Cricket cum Football ground on campus, but it is not maintained properly by the college administration.
- Surat City has really good food joints, especially if you are a Gujarati. The hostel mess serves decent food. Initially the mess food feels really likable, but then it starts to become repetitive and boring. This is the case for every hostel.
- Every hostel has a night canteen facility, and there is a nice central canteen within the campus.
- You won’t be spoon fed, so to get decent grades you’ll have to make a study routine for yourself. No one will tell you to study.
- With a decent study routine, you can easily score 7-8 CGPA, and even go on to score 9 CGPA with some extra effort.
- There’s plenty of hangout spots around the college, ‘Galla’ being a popular one, just outside the campus. There’s plenty of restaurants in Surat, some are affordable, while some are high-end.
Surat is an amazing city, and SVNIT will offer you a lifetime experience.
Is IIIT Gwalior better than IIIT Bangalore ?
No, IIIT Gwalior is in no way better than IIIT Bangalore. The latter has an upper hand in almost every aspect be it research culture, coding culture, campus life, peer group, infrastructure, faculty, and placements. IIIT Bangalore is more reputed and its degree has more value than IIIT Gwalior. Below is the statistical comparison of both the institutes to prove my statement further

How is the difficulty level of the MAKAUT semester question paper?
Honestly speaking, the level of semester exams at MAKAUT is so easy that the majority of the students just study the night before and manage to score an 8 CGPA. Many of you will not like my answer but this is my personal experience.
The strategy adopted by my friends at MAKAUT is:
- Check the syllabus the night before and check the total marks from each chapter based on the previous year's papers
- Prioritize the chapters that carry more marks. Prepare for the long answers first.
After adopting this strategy, my friend was able to easily secure an 8 CGPA. So we can say that the level of difficulty is moderate and just clarification of basic concepts can get you an 8+ CGPA at MAKAUT.
On average, the difficulty level of semester exams at MAKAUT is 3 out of 5.
