There are numerous clubs and student organizations at BIT Mesra. However, refrain from joining a club/organization just after club induction. First, find out the actual contribution of these clubs. Also, join the club that corresponds with your personal interest(s). Join a maximum of two clubs so that you can contribute well to them and attain a senior position by the time you reach your 3rd or final year.
As far as naming a few, I would mention just one organization at BIT Mesra that I feel everyone must be a part of. That organization is- Dristi. Here is how you can contribute to it as its member-

Every college has its strengths and weaknesses and so does NIT Raipur. What matters is if those drwbakc affect you or not and you are willing to compromise on those or not. Here are a few drawbacks of NIT Raipur
- The hostels are allotted on the basis of your ranks and then their CGPA later. So not every student gets accommodation facilities. This might be a major point of concern for many.
- The institute has below average infrastructural facilities in terms of sports, and provision of basic items. However, there is a market right behind NIT Raipur.
- NIT Raipur has no huge auditoriums for workshops and convocation. The largest auditorium accommodates merely 200 students so huge events like. fests and convocations are held under pandals on the college grounds.
- NIT Raipur does not encourage a research culture, unlike other NITs that have an active research culture.
- The curriculum is nit at par with industrial trends and many irrelevant courses are included.

KMC Manipal has an excellent crowd contrary to the general perception. Here, you need brains and not money to get admission. One of my friends graduated from SOL DU and here’s what I got to know from him. He mentioned that the recommended books vary from student to student.
- If any student prepares for an exam just before one day, then they should opt for Ten Years of that subject, because the Ten Years has the solutions for the past years’ question papers.
- Students find it easy because they get an idea about what type of questions are asked in the exams and revise 2 to 3 papers. This is enough to get passing marks in the exams.
- But if you revise the summary of each chapter from SOL study material and then try 1 or 2 sample papers of that subject then it will increase your confidence and you can secure good marks. This method takes 2 to 4 days for every subject.
- Attend S.O.L. PCP classes and there you will get recommendations from lecturers.
- Also, you can check the syllabus book provided by S.O.L. for the recommended books of each subject.
Do not forget to study the S.O.L. books and Ten Years. Study hard, because scoring good marks will help to enhance your aggregate percentage.
