What are the attendance criteria for a B.Tech in AKTU?
I have a few friends who graduated from AKTU. According to them, the official attendance criteria are 75%. However, it is not strictly followed in every college. The attendance criteria vary depending on the college as well as your department. Some departments are more flexible regarding the attendance criteria while the others are strict.
I even know people who were allowed to give examinations even with 25% attendance, so it entirely depends on college and departments. However, to be safe try to maintain at least 60% attendance.
How is economic sciences at IISER Bhopal?
The department of Economic Sciences at IISER Bhopal is one of the few departments in the country to offer a 4-year BS program. It is very new, thus the curriculum, placements, etc. need some time to get sorted. However, it will eventually become better.
The program integrates classroom learning with research. There are 5 professors from different fields of Economic Sciences including microeconomics, game theory, trade theory, industrial organization, public economics, social choice theory, corporate finance, option pricing, behavioral economics, agriculture economics, and environmental economics.
There is also an option to pursue BS-MS (Dual Degree) in Economic Sciences by spending an additional year. You can also earn a minor degree in other disciplines. You just have to get a minimum of 30 credits in that particular discipline.
Is the 85% attendance rule of IIT (BHU), Varanasi justified?
No, the 85% attendance rule or in fact any fixed attendance criteria of IIT BHU is not justified. The primary purpose of these rules is to restrict the students from exploring anything and keep them inside the classrooms.
The main purpose should have been to conduct lively classroom sessions such that students themselves are motivated to attend them rather than forcing it on students. In India, attendance is still considered the major parameter to judge the students' interest in studies and academic growth. This mindset is orthodox and needs to be changed for the better.
As a result of these illogical rules, students are forced to attend classes even if they aren’t interested resulting in a lack of actual passion for education. Students are left with no other choice but to attend the classes against their will and trust me anything that is forced loses its value.
Foreign universities conduct very dynamic classroom discussions and students are attracted to these classes automatically. India still needs to go a long way and implement better techniques to attract students to classes than forcing it upon them.
Is it tough to secure 8.5 GPA in NIT Trichy?
Getting an 8.5 GPA at NIT Trichy depends on certain factors. Below I have talked about each one separately-
- If you get CSE/EEE/ECE/Mech branch in which the class strength is greater than 100, you will face slightly more difficulty (in comparison to other branches) in scoring an 8.5 GPA.
- If you get Meta/Chem in NIT Trichy, where the class strength is less than 100 students, you will face comparatively less competition.
There is a system of Relative Grading(RG), so your GPA also depends on your classmates’ performance.
If you regularly attend classes (maintaining at least 75% attendance), keep yourself updated on all that is being taught in the class, and study well before your CTs/unit tests, and end sem, you will easily score 8.5 or above in NIT Trichy.
On the other hand, if you are a lazy person who sleeps for 12-14 hours a day, will bunk your classes regularly, and play PUBG all day, you won’t score well.
Attend your classes regularly and try to study for 2-3 hours a day. Maintain at least 75% attendance. Try to score well in your CTs and Unit Tests, then you will be less worried during your end sem.
You can not control the performance of your entire class, but if you follow a disciplined and balanced routine, you will make sure from your end that you score well as a student of NIT Trichy.
What are the GATE ranks for M.Tech courses at IIT Bombay?
Since my sister was a student of Civil Engineering branch at IIT Bombay, I have information about the same only.

- Geotechnical Engineering: 250–450
- Transportation Engineering: 400-550

The above ranks are for General Category only. Reserved categories can expect a call at a rank higher than that mentioned above. The overall admission procedure comprises 75% weightage to GATE score and 25% weightage to written test and interview.
What is the scope of electronics and computer engineering offered at Thapar University?
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, established in 1956 is ranked 29th by NIRF, amongst the top engineering colleges in India. Keeping in view the increasing demand for the skills in electronics and computer science, Thapar introduced the Electronics and Computer Engineering branch a few years back in association with Trinity College, Dublin.

Is Thadomal Shahani Engineering college(TSEC) well known in India? Does it have a good reputation?

- You will fall in love with this college because of its environment.
- There will be an “Industrial Visit,” which is essentially a tour of North India (Shimla, Manali, Amritsar, etc.).
- You can volunteer for organizing festivals by MS, CSI, IETE, Council. This will help you in expanding your network.
- Academically, the syllabus provided by the university is really not good.
- The faculty is not good.
- Students can improve their grades by practicing previous year’s question papers.

For the second term, it will entirely depend on whether you join a committee or not, as most people do. By the end of the year, you will be a completely different person.
In the third year, You will be looking into your options for MS and placements. You'll realize how important your subjects are in terms of placements. And how unorganized your university is, in terms of teaching, resources, guidance, education, and curriculum. However, when it comes to placements, TSEC is good.
Which is better, MAIT or IGDTUW?
MAIT is ranked 41st, and IGDTUW is ranked 25th for engineering by India Today’20. MAIT has two programs BTech and MBA/PGDM, and IGDTUW offers six programs-BTech, MTech, BBA, MCA, B.Arch, and M.Plan.

MAIT:
The campus is small, and there is Wi-Fi on campus. Not all the classrooms are air-conditioned, there are around five canteens on the campus, and medical facilities are available 24/7. Sports grounds and courts are present for badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and football.
IGDTUW:
The classrooms are spacious with smart boards, and Wi-Fi is available all through the campus, libraries are updated, sports and medical facilities are also available. IGDTUW’s fest attracts many colleges and celebrities are also invited every year. The college also has many clubs like dance and drama.
MAIT and IGDTUW, both are well-reputed. As for which will be better for you, you should decide that.
How are the hostel facilities of AIIMS Raipur for a first-year MBBS student? Are they safe and clean for girls? Are mess facilities available in the building?
The first-year students of AIIMS Raipur are made to stay in AIIMS Residential Complex which is about 1 km away from the campus. There is a bus that will take you to and fro from the campus.

The hostel facilities at AIIMS Raipur are pretty good. In the second year, you get an individual room on campus.
What is BIT Mesra?
BIT Mesra is a deemed university situated 16 km away from Ranchi city. It was established in 1955. Its campus is spread across 780 acres and surrounded by three rivers. It is one of the renowned institutions in the country and is ranked 53rd in the NIRF 2023 Rankings: Engineering.
To pursue your B.E. from BIT Mesra, you will have to secure a good rank in your JEE Mains. Thus, it has an intelligent crowd of some of the best brains in the country. The campus has greenery that is soothing and the weather of the place is good too. The institution has a good infrastructure with well-made classrooms, a library, lecture halls, and an auditorium.
