Remarks
The postive thing regarding college is that it focuses more on the studies. There is no extra holidays. No bunk is allowed during class time. The negative thing is that the infrasturucture is not so good. There are no eating complex. No gym, no auditorium.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is good. We learn 6-8 subjects per semester depending upon the year. The exam structure is like we go through two sessional exams of 40 marks each during the semester and an end examination which is of 70 marks. We also have practical subjects.
Placement Experience
Recently 4-5 students have veen placed in a legal firm for around 3 lacs per annum. Yet the placement and job opprtunities are not great as to be. College do not provide any internship opporunities to us. We have to intern as per our source and all.
College Events
The University Fest is celebrated once in a year where a celebrity night is also celebrated. Various events such as cricket tournament, badminton competition, independence day, republic day are also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
According to the region, the fees structure of the college is somewhere expensive. The fees is increased by some percent per year. As i am a 5th year student i have to pay near about 140000/- per year for the college, the hostel fees is also very expensive as compared to the facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship facilty is provided to only uttarakhand students. The university give 26% rebate to uttrakhand domiciled students, which is quite good for uttrakhand students. The loan is provided by the bank nearby situated.
Campus Life
Daily any extracurricular activites are done in the college. It include moot court competition, visiting the govt schools, sports i.e. cricket, badminton, etc. are comducted about daily. The nukad nataks for emerging topics are also conducted in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
I have been in hostel till my 4th year. The facilities provided to me is nothing. Yet the fees is quite high, its about 110000/- per year for single shared room. In such fees there is no any facility, no seperate washroom, no AC, no balcony.
Alumni/Alumna
Many alumni of the college have cleared the psc j examination and they are very helpful in giving guidance. Some are also good lawyer practising in high court and supreme court. The are also helpful.
Admission
I am a resident of Haridwar, so the nearby and good college for me is Law College Dehradun. I cam with parents to take admission in the college. We met with deputy registrar of law college and he describe us about the college and all things. Thereafter he filled the form and aftet submitting the fees, I have confirmed my admission.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is quite good. They are very cooperative. They focus in the class that even the last benchers go through the topic that is being taught in the class. Even after class they are always ready to clear any doubts.
