I only chose Uttaranchal university as my priority for pursuing law. I did not avail of any quota. for the admission, they asked for 10th marks sheet photocopy, 12th marks sheet photocopy, TC original, Migration Certificate original, Character Certificate original, Medical Health Certificate original, Address proof, Adhar card, 6 passport size photos, 1 passport photo of parents, Printout of online Anti Ragging Affidavit, There was no counselling session held because of covid, They gave admission based on the 12th mark sheet.

I chose BA LLB (Hons.) because it was easy to study the subjects which were there in these course as I am from a humanities background. The Teaching Faculty is well educated and they have done LLM and PhD. in their respective subjects. Most of our faculty members have done doctorate and have the name in social work and research work in the law field. The student ratio of our course is almost 350 students divided into three sections of 75 to 80 student per section. The method of teaching is very interactive and they use different modes like PowerPoint presentation and written method to teach. Their teaching methods are very effective and it's very useful for easy understanding of a child. The sessionals exams are held after a gap of 2 months and in every semester there are two sessionals and one end semester exams which are conducted by the college. The question level of every exam was moderate.

For the internship process, College authorities help us to work. A WhatsApp group is made for every course in which all the necessary details of the upcoming competition and internship opportunities are given to the students. Students who are interested in whichsoever competition or internship will further associate will higher authorities for the completion of the process. The projects and Role offered are different depending on the course. Those projects include research papers, legal writing, article writing and many more tasks. A meeting is conducted before the commencement of any project to clarify the doubts of the students. Going through various challenges during any kind of competition or internship prepares a child for upcoming challenges in an advocate life and make him understand how to work with colleagues and they learn many additional things which cant be learned via academic learning. Overall this system gives the students to cherish and mould themselves for future endeavours.

The students here at Law College Dehradun can apply for placement from their 9th semester which means at the starting of their 5th year. Many Legal Firms approaches Law College Dehradun for the placement purpose every year and around 5 to 10% of students are selected every year. Companies like Quiziex, Aventis, Elevate Services and many more come here for the counselling of upcoming lawyers. The salary packages they offer are mostly between 3.2 lac. to 4.8 lac. Students here at Law College have high opportunities to pursue litigation after their graduation and many students apply for judiciary exams out of which most of them were selected every year. My Plans after getting the degree is to pursue JAG (Judge Advocate General) in the Indian Navy and serve my nation in the best way possible. Law college will provide you best way possible to fly high and chase your dreams. They have a systematic Moot Court Society necessary for every student which will help them to enhance their research skills.

Law College Dehradun provides quality education to a child at a very affordable fee structure. Also, a 5% scholarship is granted to Defence Personals in net tuition fee. 10% scholarship in net tuition fee is awarded to the students who scored 90% or above in qualifying exams. The college provides a healthy environment in which a child can prosper very well. They have 6 to 7 student bodies performing different works and help the society to enhance one step closer to the way of development by working at village, the urban and downtrodden section of societies.

I at Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University gets a very homely and friendly environment. The Annual Fest of Uttaranchal University takes place in April and it's called Yuva Fest and every year the organising committee of the university comes up with a unique theme. Various events are organised by the students. Coming onto the Library there are two libraries on the campus one is central for the whole of the university and one is of every building of all faculties. Library of Law college Dehradun comes up with various research papers and articles in the field of law relating to every aspect of life. Both the Libraries have good infrastructure and is maintained properly. The classroom has accommodation for 80 students per section and there are 3 sections for each course. The campus has a food court and bakehouse for the refreshment of students and a stationary shop. The college has a total of 6 societies headed by student bodies who conduct the various competition.

The hostel room is very spacious and has facilities like a bed chair table and almirah. There are 4 types of room single, double, triple and four seaters. space is provided according to the seater. Single seater comprises of one bed, one chair, one table and an almirah and the number changes according to the seaters. The meal quality is good and so goes with the menu. we get both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The food is cooked in a very hygienic condition. For registering in a hostel one must approach the office and tell which accommodation do they require and then they need to go to the warden for the rest of the formalities. Overall you will get a good, safe, happy and homely environment in the hostel.
