Remarks

Positive- Nice infrastructure, great scope of growth, good faculty , great fests Negative- No practical work, should focus more on placements related to all courses, mess and hostel facilities could be better, hire more experienced faculty

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum covers almost all subjects which are required for engineering. But college does not much indulge in practical work. A civil engineer student requires more of practical rather than theoretical knowledge but college failed to do so.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements for CSE and EC are quite well but CTC is quite low. But placements for civil and mechanical engineering are very poor in those year when i was studying. I am not aware about placement statistics right now. No, college didn’t provide any type of internship.

College Events

3

There is one fresher party -In this there is large scale non-alcoholic party with DJ in which students from all courses dances and enjoy There is one annual event in which various celebrities are invited and students from other colleges are also invited. Various science fests and competitions are also organised by the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was reasonable at that time i.e. 50000 per semester. But now it has been increased to nearly 68000. Fees of summer exams(i.e. who are debarred because of attendance or any other reason) was very expensive- 10000 Many students had to suffer problems regarding unnecessary fines.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were no loan facilities. There were different exchanges programs in almost every country. There were also different schemes for pursuing higher studies in different parts of the world. I am not aware about scholarships but as fas i know there were no scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

There were no coaches available for respective sports. Equipments of sports were limited available. Extra curricular activities related to event management and other fests were really encouraging. But they should engage more students in more activities.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities were average. There were common bathrooms for more than 20 students. Cleaning facilities were good Mess food was very bad. We complained for the same many times but there was not any improvements. I am not aware of the facilities right now.

Alumni/Alumna

There is alumni network as such. I don’t receive any mails regarding any alumni meet. We are not connected to any network of current and previous year colleges. The college should create a powerful alumni network so that we can connect and this could be helpful for college also.

Admission

It was a new college turned university so they didn’t much ask about competitive exams. So i applied in the college for admission and the process was easy and smoothly done. But now the college has grown well in case of reputation and they do ask for competitive exams.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is quite friendly and knowledgeable but they should be more interesting in giving students more practical knowledge. Most of the faculty were M.tech. But they were freshers in case of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills relevant to the course. It provides a good foundation for real-world applications and further studies. Exams are conducted regularly and are generally manageable with proper preparation. The curriculum could be improved by adding more practical projects, industry exposure and updated topics.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
