Remarks

Positive - Location is awsome, if we ignore study for a point. It will be the top class college. Natural beauty peaceful environment and lovely cultural of uttarakhand. Negative- Need some academics upgrade.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is some what outdated, needs updated. There will be 2 Class Test (internal) and one external exam in each semester along with practicals. Class Test conducted at the month of April/September and June/ November.

College Events

Goonj- It is a cultural event includes dance ,singing, drama fun events, band, quiz, comedy, literary events like debate extempore. Spandan is a technical fest includes robotics and electroy. Josh is sports meet.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for mca. Fess is highly expensive in comparison with the study provided. For MCA it is very higher than the private institute, even there is no placement. For btech it is somewhat normal. For mtech also expensive.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are awsome. Cultural events, teachers day celebration, sports events are organised in every month, labs are well furnished. There are clubs in every department and they organized events time to time.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels need updates, No one is there for inspecting the food quality. Quality is degraded. Wifi is provided for few hostels only. A ward boy is provided for every room,who comes daily to clean the room.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, seniors are very supportive. They are only hope during the survival in college. Alumni network is great, some of them visits college and conducts some interaction program with the students. Seniors help on academics.

Admission

An entrance test conducted by UTU dehradun UKSEE, counseling conducted after result declaration. College is allotted on couselling and they provide necessary documents to shown in college. Then fees is submitted to the SBI bank.

Faculty

Faculty is average. Most of faculty not even visit the class. Faculties needs to be updated with the time. Some faculties are supported too. Political environment is there within the faculties. No permanent principal is there.

That one experience that changed my life

Likes

The number of companies that visited and did process witht the college for my course - MCA, was th highest among all other universities offering the same course
The scenic beauty of UPES campus, is outstanding. 2-3 years will glide off beautifully and with very lovly memories

Dislikes

Some of the student crowd, which was just there because of scenery and addictions, was very irritating. Staying away from such people was a task

Placement Experience:

The best a college can provide in these financially difficulties, is provided by UPES. The number of companies this college brought, has out-ranked any other college/university providing MCA course. The highest was a 25 LPA package at Salesforce.

From Classroom to Campus Life

Likes

Teachers are well qualified and teaching method are excellent
Lectures are conducted daily,you doesn't feel u waste whole in campus
Campus are soo beautiful and very close to nature.

Dislikes

Time table are soo packed,it's feels like 9 to 5 job somedays.
Attendance are mandatory means 75 percentage attendance are mandatory otherwise u are not able to sit in exams
So much rules and regulations sometimes u feels you are in school.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum are good.But some time it's feels so hectic you alots of assignment date are submition of yours assignment, project reports, lab file. Even doesn't have enough time for preparing you exam and self study .

Likes

College infrastructure is superb and wonderful
The food provided in cafeteria is also superb
There are special space for various sports

Likes

The classes run everyday and the professor are full of knowledge.
The building are big and neat and clean and the classes are also big enough.
And placement orientated classes also held in college.

Dislikes

The college is too much strict for the attendance

Likes

Uttaranchal university offers a engaging campus life.
The classrooms are well equipped with modern teaching aids and the libraries have a vast collection of books and digital resources.

Dislikes

While the hostels are generally good, there is room for improvements in terms of maintenance and hygiene.

Placement Experience:

Studnets with 60% in 12th are eligible for most of the placements as there is a barrier of 60%, being from the IT they bought only sales companies for the students. Mostly startups companies were there.

The university is located in srinagar garhwal and there is many beautiful places you can visit nearby.
Campus life is good and the chauras campus is very beautiful.
Few teachers are very supportive and helps you in difficult situation if you consult them.

Dislikes

Delayed result is the main problem of this university.
No focus on practical knowledge. Labs not conducted properly.
Wrapping up of semester according to there need.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not very advanced same as like other universities. The difficulty of exam level is not very high if you are a average student you can easily pass your examinations with excellent marks. There are 2 semesters per year and exams are based on the semesters.

Environment is too good , students are supportive

I have a BSc in computer science. So I want to do a masters in the technical field. So I pursuing a Master's in computer application. Student ratio between 95. Qualifications of the faculty mostly pursuing Ph.D. teachers which means assistant professors. Organized the exam from time to time by the examination department.

I applied for this college only as my parents allowed for this one only as it is closer to my home. The college lacks a bit in terms of infrastructure as compared to other colleges in the region. The placements are not good enough.
