Remarks

Good, infrastructure, faculty, reasearch, placement records. Bad, sports avticities can be improved, mess food quality can be improved.

As usual mechanical department research are too vast and here in my college it is happening the same and the faculty provided is also good.

Internship to only bsnl, and it was also too good.

Sastra is well known for its placements records and many companies like tcs, infosys, ibm, musigma, microsoft is coming and recruting many students every year.

Many fests are there and famous are daksh, colosseun, kurusastra (ks) and many department tech fest among that daksh is nationally famous.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hostels are of different types with 2 in 1, single, 4 in one with/without bathroom attached mess food is good and fees for hostel is based on room types, average is about 10000 p/a.

Tamilnadu educational trust-6000 p/a based on low annual income of parents.

Gender ratio vary from department to department generally it is 1:1, sport activities is normal many clubs like robotics club embedded club, dance club, drama club and arts club, make the above extracuricular activites good.

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options.
