Remarks

All good about the college is the efficient faculty and the calm atmosphere the place where the campus is situated is near Madikeri (Coorg) which is a very attractive tourist destination. Nothing really bad about the college. maybe the location might irritate some people because there is nothing much of entertainment facilities available in town

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Good and there will be 2 semesters per year duration of 6months and there will 3 internals and one final exam per semester duration of 20 to 30 days before theory examination practicals will be done

Placement Experience

Last year few students got placed in some MNCs and most of the company visiting for placement is BPOs. There is no 100% placement for the students and those who got placed are switching jobs after certain time. There are two internship and project work but we need to choose company as our wish.

College Events

1.students association- we had association for students which conducts extra curricular activities like group discussion, public speaking skill, short film creation etc. 2. Annual day 3. Selection 4.sports day 5.management fest 6.intercollege fest 7.founders day 8.farewell

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is around 75k for 1 year. Apart from that hostel and mess fees required as per your preference. They provides bank assistance for education loan for those who required loan. It is not expensive compared to other college

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarship programme for the students. This scholarship from state government and student who are belong to karnataka state only will get scholarship. In addition to that bank provides special assistance for taking education loan from various banks

Campus Life

KVG COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING offers a wide platform for discover your hidden talents. You can became a master on your interested field. Every tuesday and thursday students conducts activities for the growth of students in specific field. College have a fantastic and well equipped computer lab and also have all facilities for sports aspirants

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are mediocre to say at the least. The best part is 24 hour power supply. There is no WiFi options in hostel. The food is pretty good. Non Veg and Veg options are both pretty good. A lot of hotels and messes are around the college so there are a lot of different options to choose from.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The college was once among the best colleges in Karnataka. Because of this, the college has a good network of alumni working in international companies.andThere are many alumni association for the college. The alumni association exists in Dubai and even in Kasaragod Kerala and also in coorg. The alumni association is very effective and they provide assistance in placements.

Admission

There will be a common entrance test(CET) which will be conducted by karnataka examination authority based on our percentage in 12th they will give ranks to us then based on this ranks allotment of seat will done.

Faculty

4.5

The college have experienced faculty team to mould a student as per the corporate world requires. The faculties are conducting some extra curricular activities to provide some practical knowledge. Sometime the same faculty teaches two subjects when the shortage of faculty occurs.

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.
