Remarks

Management of the college is good as college is full of lush green trees and gardens. Also, it listens to the students but the college is going down on basis of placement. Hope it will again lift up its standard.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE and I got Around 1 Lakh 12 Thousand All India Rank. I Got 82 Marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was quite well. The college is having well equipped labs. Frankly speaking for those who wants to get the maximum, the college is full of opportunities.

Internships Opportunities

No college will not provide any kind of internship. For this you have to search yourself. But college will make your character in such a way that no company can repudiate you from providing internship.

Placement Experience

2

No Company in Mechanical Engineering visited Campus. May be our TPO had not worked hard for that or there are less jobs in Mechanical.

College Events

5

College holds three events every year. The Culture Fest, The Sports Fest, The Technical Fest. The students participate will full enthusiasm. Various events are organised by different societies of the college of the college and students take part in it. The winners are awarded with trophies by the principal. In addition to this college also organizes Fresher's Party every year, blood donation camp, Farewell Party. So lot of events happens in an year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible. It is strictly according to the PTU fee structure. No additional fee is being taken. As, it is government institution no extra money is demanded by the college as it is done in Private colleges. So, don't worry about the fee. My fee per semester was around 45k (general category) and around 3 thousand for hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers loan facility and scholarship also for students. But i did not availed any of it. The scholarship are for Category students, Low Income etc etc.. You can check the website of college for more details.

Campus Life

4.5

There is hardly any sign of ragging in college and gender ratio is also good. All branches have at least 40 percent girls expect Mechanical. Also, College has around 12 societies which are run by students and they are the best part. No racism is done in college as the students from Bihar, UP, Jharkhand, Himachal, Jammu also come to be a part of this college. Most of the students are from Punjab but around 30 percent will be from outer state. Hostel Night is also arranged by the college every year. Also college maintains an average of organizing around 5 workshops each year.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college provides one of the best hostel life. It is the best part of college. The hostels are connected with high speed WI FI. The hostels are different for different years. Every year you have to shift to a new hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

As all hostels are adjacent to each other, seniors maintains a friendly behavior with their juniors. College Societies also plays a major role in making of the relationship between seniors and juniors.

Exam Structure

The College is Autonomous and the teachers set their own exam. The exams are also checked within the college. The standard of the exams are high and it requires good hard work. Also labs are well equipped and these are visited frequently. Regular Lab test

Faculty

4

There isn't a match of faculty of college. The Professor's who used to teach us are graduated from top institutes of the world. Some have also written their books that are used in PTU colleges.

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
