This college provides equal importance to each and every field. They provide lots and lots of opportunities for the students to showcase their talents in various different fields. Only disappointment is that the day scholars find it difficult to come. The college buses go very slow so it takes time to reach home
Course Curriculum Overview
We have 3 internal exams out of which best two will be considered and added to the semester exam marks for calculating the grade points.Also lab practical exams are conducted and those marks are considered as well.
Placement Experience
I have heard that SASTRA is one of the best Universities in terms of placements.Also they send students to abroad for their eighth semester. Internships are made compulsory, especially for the first years.
College Events
One intra college technical fest known as utsav was conducted which included lot of workshops, quiz competition and lot of fun games too. One intra college cultural known as the carpedium was held. Also sports events were conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is very less compared to many other good instituitions. I have heard from my friends and their parents studying in other universities complaining about the fees they pay there. This top university makes sure everyone can pay the fees without any struggle
Fees and Financial Aid
I have heard of scholarships for students who perform well in academics as well as in cultural events and sports. The college also provides concession for those students whose parents are working as farmers.
Campus Life
SASTRA is very famous for the lab facilities. These are one of the best in the country. Even students from other colleges like NIT are using this lab for their research purpose.,Also SASTRA allows people to engage themselves in sports activities.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very friendly to us. They never ragged us. During the first few days and the orientation, they were very helpful and guided us. Even now they clear our doubts in academics and other fields as well.
Admission
We have to submit our class 12 marks and our JEE mains marks. Based on that they prepare a rank list and they give us ranks on all India and Tamilnadu quota. So if you have a good score both in boards as well as in JEE,you can get a seat here.
Faculty
Most of the faculty members are friendly and they keep the class engaging.They ask a lot of questions now and then and also conduct seminars. Assignments are also given so that the students can learn while they do them.
