Remarks

Overall the college is a good one. It has a very good library were almost all the books are available. College also allottes parking spaces for the vehicles of students. It also provide a canteen were good is served during the noon.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. But I think it needs to be updated some more. More practical learning system is to be introduced by avoiding unnecessary papers. Since it is a job oriented course, it would be good to have some skill development programs. The exam structure is not that good. Marks are awarded not for the points but for the size of answers. Even the one mark questions are need to be write about 4 sentences.

Placement Experience

Job market for Computer science students are good. They have a lot of opportunities. The college doesn't provide placement facilities. There are no internships as well. Internships should be provided and the stipend as well.

College Events

2.5

College celebrates every event in an amazing way. Onam, Christmas, etc and the other functions are being celebrated grandly. Also there are some days like the arts day for the students to perform there talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not that much expensive. Fees are paid as the semesters. Those vary from course to course. For bsc computer science it's about 12500 per did months. The fees are comparatively less for the commerce students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships and grants are provided by the government for the students. There are several scholarships like the minority scholarships which helps the students to pay their fees. The amount of scholarship varies for each courses.

Campus Life

3.5

College has a cricket and a football team. College has a huge ground where students play during the evening time. Many students are participating in the athletes meets and wins the medals. College is full support for these athletes.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students helps the juniors to get familiar with the college. They organises a Freshers day in which the talents of the newcomers are being found and they are made in touch with their seniors. Also there is music and dance on that program.

Admission

I got admission in this college through the online application portal for courses in Kannur University. After my 12th grade, i applied in the admission portal and selected the interested courses. According to my percentage in the previous course, i got admission.

Faculty

The college faculties are good. The College provides good classrooms with good furnitures. The computer lab is a bit outdated because it uses such low end systems which onlu work on the old windows xp. Other facilities are good.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

My experience and review about college and university

For this particular college there were no entrance exams. The admission process relies completely on the 12 th marks ,that means if you have good grades in 12th then the probability of getting admission in the college will be high. Apart from getting admission to college on merits there are some entrance examination done by university in wich people can study to their desired course in some particular colleges not all colleges accept the entrance exam. Everything you need to know about taliparamba arts and science college.

the college is a non-government college coming under kannur University. Students can apply to the college through CAP registration. Eligibility for the course includes at least 50% marks in 12th std. During the allotment the students can check if they got admitted to their preferred college or not. If you got an allotment, then the students should present themselves in the college whenever they are asked to. The admission form will be available in the college office which needs to be filled then and there. As the seats are management seats, students should be paying a certain amount during the admission process. As admission is granted through CAP registration, there was no entrance exams....Read More
