There are no real big bad comments on the management part. Overall experience is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. It comprises of the technologies needed for the current industry and the technologies and practices that have been followed in the past and the present in the information and technology industry. Now more focused on industry-based curriculum.

Placement Experience

The placement of the university is well known across the country. Most of the big companies come in for the placements and almost everyone gets placed at the end of the 4 years.

College Events

There are several events held across the year. The cultural event is well known with a famous celebrity singer/performer invited each year. The sports event is held for more than 3 days and many colleges across the country participate. Also, the individual department holds symposiums.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much feasible given the current scenario. Mostly the seats are given on an academic basis and the fee for tuition is around 95000 per year. The hostel is very cheap with only 50000 per year including food which is very very very great.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given to meritorious students of each department who are in the top 10 per cent of the list.

Campus Life

There is no problem with the co-students during the entire course period. Students from all over India come here to study and there is a good mix of students. The students are friendly and it is a great place to make friends. There are students from all sorts of economics status.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are very much helpful during placements. The seniors are also helpful during the course period.

Admission

One of the best institutions in Tamilnadu currently. The process was simple. Have to undergo a counselling session and choose the three required courses with priority. Seats will be purely on an academic basis. We will get the seat once our rank is in place and the seats are available. 95% and above 12th marks and a decent JEE score is required.

The faculty is good and well equipped with knowledge in their respective areas. Most of the professors hold a PhD degree in their expertise. The lab sessions are good to improve practical skills. Very friends and good mentors all around with great experience.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges.
