MIET Jammu is the best engineering college in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and exam structure is excellent. There is transparency in the system and nothing is hidden. The curriculum is well-groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge to the students. The college also helps students in the research area.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college are great. College provides many opportunities for students to get placed. The placements are not based on what you perform academically but also depends upon the skill set you have.

College Events

There are lot of events that happen in college. There is one annual fest that occurred mostly in the end month of March. It consists of Technical and cultural events. Apart from that lot of workshops, seminars and other things are also happening in the college

MIET Jammu is the best engineering college to provide such an exceptional value of education at an affordable price. The mode of payment is online. The fee structure is as per AICTE. They are charging very less as compared to others and are providing so many things.

Yes, the college offers scholarship opportunities to students belonging to poor families. Apart from this, there are also other scholarships are available that the student can avail.

Campus Life

The campus life is good. We have a clean and peaceful campus. The gender ratio is also good. We have an equal number of boys and girls. A lot of competitions are held and a large number of students take part in this competition. Debates, cultural activities, hackathon's, etc happens in our college

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network and seniors are great. They provide mentorship to the students. Help them in building their profile.

Admission

Admission into the college is through the Entrance test named JKCET( Jammu and Kashmir common entrance test). You have to perform well in the test and based on your score you can choose college and within the college the course you get also depends on your marks.

Faculty

The teachers in the college are extremely helpful to the students. We have highly qualified professors who have deep knowledge in their respective subjects. The college offers a great industry exposure to the students by regularly updating students through emails about emerging technologies.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

the university is still under construction
their is limited access of resourses as it is under construction
