Very good ,Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, First event was held on the day when first year was come in this event faculty member pricipal director will introduce to the first student second event will held on 3rd september "foundation day " many dance will done in this event

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees - Time of admission course fees is 65000, it is for the first semester. And for the second semester it is near 45000, And then for third-semester college fees for this course is 42500 and then for the fifth semester is 42500. For seventh semester fees are 43000 and eight semesters it Will be 43000

College is good. Scholarship will given to only west bengal student which is on tfw category yes loan facility is available in our college first you applied for bonafied certificate in our college admin block then you should apply loan in your own state

There are many extracurricular activity there are many group in our college if you interested in coding then you shoud join code vision if you are interested to help needy person you shoud join nss club Many sporty activity like basketball badminton cricket football etc

Hostel Facilities

Our college hostel fees for the 1st semester and 2nd semester is 27000 rupees. 54000 rupees for first-year totally. And for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years it will the same fees. But it can be increased by college anytime.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Admission

Qualifying entrance exam, and wait for merit list and you qualify the exam and got a name in merit list, so you go to college and collect own details and interview date and give a interview and select to the college.

My IEM

Likes

Discipline. The discipline there is the mainstay behind their academic and professional success of the students.
Academic Pressure. The healthy pressure given in academics was the major reason why I came out with flying colours.
College life. The college culture was nice, and we, the students really enjoyed ourselves by making friendships and bonds.

Dislikes

Authoritarianism. The institute survives on Authoritarianism, and whatever was said by the faculty was like an edict for us.
Selective Preference(Sometimes) of students. The placement cell is headed by a person who only allows his favored students to appear for the good jobs.
Strictness. It is very strict, and not even the basic amounts of freedom are allowed in the college, everyone has to follow a certain standard.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Dislikes

distance issues - 5-7 minutes walk from the station
Lack of eateries - No restaurants or cafes nearby
No direct private vehicles available; they are available only on extra payment

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.

Dislikes

Limited library resources and heavy dependency on e-books, with a mismanaged book rental system
There are some blocks which need better connectivity features, frequent jamming occurs there

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internhips from 4th sem onwards, provided they have no backlogs and are well equipped for skills demanded by companies. The college provides good internships and job placements in reputable companies such as TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc,.[for computer science departement] with an average package of 3.5 LPA. The college has achieved a well rounded record of 100% placements[T&Cs applied] for 3 consecutive batches now[2019-22, 2020-23, 2021-24].

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
