Remarks
Most of the thinks about the college is positive only. The good teaching staffs, good facilities. Good environment, feasible tution fees. But the hostel facilities are not that much good. The hostel food is horrible.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is really good. The environment , infrastructure, facilities all are good. The exam pattern is semester wise, like most of the other engineering colleges. It is an autonomous institute now which is affiliated to Pondicherry university.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are very high in this college. Last year around 300+ students out of 400 placed in good reputed MNC's. When compare to other colleges in Puducherry , Pondicherry engineering college hold the record in account with placement.
College Events
The college celebrates many events throughout the year. The cultural festival called Pecofes in which students from colleges all over India were participating. It also conduct technical fests , which was separating conducted by different departments.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As though it is a government institute the fees structure is feasible. It holds the cheapest fee structure in the state. For an year the fee is around ninteen thousand and they provide a very good facilities and provide good faculties.
Fees and Financial Aid
The government of puducherry itself provide various scholarship schemes for the backward students. Most of the nationalized and private banks are willing to provide loans for the students studied in Pondicherry engineering college.
Campus Life
The college offers a very good opportunities for the students in accounts with the extracurricular activities. The college have a big ground where the sports events where contacted. The college has a centralized air conditioned auditorium where the cultural events where carried out and have an open air theater for other functions such as hostel day and all.
Hostel Facilities
When compare to the tution fee the hostel fee is very high. It is around sixty thousand.Even though it is very less compare to other private colleges but comparing to other government colleges in the state it will little bit high. The facilities provided by the institution is not that much good compare to fees.
Alumni/Alumna
The college have a very wide network of alumnis. The most of the alumnis are working in MNC's. Some of them are entrepreneurs, few of them are MLA's. The college is really focusing on the alumni network and always trying to make the bond even stronger every year.
Admission
If you are a resident of Pondicherry you will get the admission by registering on centac. You no need to right any entrance exam for that.your 12th mark is considered If you are not then you have to qualify JEE entrance exam.
Faculty
The faculties in most of the departments are very friendly and helpful. They are very educated. Most of them holds doctorates. Where as in some departments the faculties are not friendly. They are always show bad face towards the students.
