Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I quitly enjoy it.course structure is good, we have very good syllabus which covers most of subjects and it is touch also which will test our skills and abilities to achieve better results.Only problems is university is changing syllabus quit alot.

Placement Experience

3.5

I think placements are not that so good compared to other College's when compared to other College's.There is placements no of students getting placements is less.Nowadays College are providing special trainings for it.

College Events

In my College there are so many events such as union day,College day,Tharang, onam celebration, christmas celebration, arts day, tech fest, sports day.In among them most famous is Tharang it is heavy budget program,it is popular also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Telling about fee structure is moderate i think so,it is payable amount. In my there is one speciality that they are not buying any extra fees for managment admissions. That is quit good thing i think so.

Fees and Financial Aid

College is providing scholarship for students who have got good entrance rank.It is much helpful for a student who might have financial problems and College also provide scholarship for students who have low financial status.

Campus Life

I'm very much active in sports,i have got university gold medal in athlectics and i ' also part of College cricket team.I very much enjoy every bit of my College life, I try to participate in every programs i could so that i could get experience in every field.

Alumni/Alumna

N0,Telling about my College yes it is very good I like it.my College has their own rules and ethics which they try to follow every time. Now a days College managment become more student friendly which is quit a good thing.

Admission

I write the entrance exam which is very tough exam, then after some days resukts has coms and ranklist has been published and i got merit list in our College and i joined here which was ok for me.I like my College.

Faculty

In my there is very high qualified teachers only problem is most of teachers are old, there are young teachers which are very good in teachings and motivating students to achieve better results.Tutors are playing very good role in our College.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

CSE student at JEC

I have only applied to this college. One of my friend who was studying in this college suggested me this college. Because of my KEAM mark, I didn't get other government colleges for CSE. Then I see a better option for CSE was Jyothi. Heard that lot of placements there for CSE at Jyothi. Thats why I applied here. The admission process was quite simple for me. I just contacted the number given in Jyothi official website and knows the details. The only criteria is to pass the KEAM exam. Then based on ranking in KEAM and Plus 2 marks, I got admission....Read More

JECC is not for the weak.

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. I got many reviews from my school teachers and seniors about this college and decided to join. The admission process is very simple. No group discussion or personal interview is conducted for the selection. Just direct admission if you qualify certain conditions like 12 th grade and KEAM or JEE entrance exam marks. Just needed to qualify....Read More

Good Campus and enjoyed the time in there.

We had a common exam for the admissions. And the rank in the exam determines which college we get to study. I was trying to get into the government college. But didn't had enough rank to get the set. This i got into Jyothi engineering college Thrissur according to my rank. Couldn't apply to other colleges because the system works like that. If we get any college we should join there. To get admission should pass in the lateral entrance exam. And should have good rank in them to get admission....Read More

Actually when I was writing my boards I paid 10000 and they asked me to block myself a seat. They kept two conditions two score above 85 percentage in 12th and keam should be qualified.i happened to get both so after that I went back to college they gave me a check list of documents to bring for registration. I bought those they registered me in. And after that we registered for the uniform and then the hostel and then we talked with the teachers in my department that was pretty much about my admission my admission went really smooth.it was really smooth and easy i didn't go through any trouble or delay....Read More
