Top college in North Karnataka state

I may call my college as a Best college, as i have heard, it is very difficult to get admission here due to merit. But, luckily with my good marks I got admission in this college. The college has earned fame for its good quality education & placements. In the North Karnataka region of Karnataka state, this one of the autonomous college out of 3-4 colleges. College is having best infrastructure with 8 Bachelor of Engineering, 1 Bachelor of Architecture graduate courses & 3 master degree courses - M. Tech. , M. B. A. , M. C. A. This is the only college to provide Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering in Northern Karnataka. The students are placed world class companies namely- Microsoft, TCS, Mercedese Benz, Infosys, Mindtree, Bosch, Sankalp semiconductors, Indian Navy, Indian Army, Indian Airforce, etc. About campus - The college campus is much greener due to trees everywhere, gives good oxygen & shaded spaces. Campus gets electricity by solar source. Campus has rain water harvesting system. Within campus there is free wi-fi facility available at every place for the students & staff.

The Bachelor of Architecture is a 5 year professional course. This course is all about building design, urban design, landscape design with creative & unique concept. Overall there are very few rural students studying this course and Im also one of them. I always feel proud about the course.

When it comes to Placement & Job, as B. Arch. is a professional degree, the student can open his own firm after completion of his degree with his COA registration. If going to a job, stipend abound ?10,000/- will be paid per month, which is in-sufficient. In 8th semester we have to complete Internship under any architect who is COA regestered & having 8 years field experience.

Mainly our College conducts 2 national level events. 1. AURA - Cultural event - conducted in odd semester 2. Avalanche - Technical event - conducted in even semester AURA is the biggest college level cultural event in the whole Belagavi district. There will competitions like singing, dance, fashion show, drama, etc. are conducted. This event will have a electro dance music event & a music event by famous bollywood singer. Other than this there will be Department level events conducted. viz. - Questers - M. B. A. Oculus - Mechanical Paradox - Civil, etc.

Admission through CET quota - the fee is feasible & its around ?65,000 - ?75,000/-. In this ?45,000/- is the University fee & ?20,000-?25,000 will be tution fee. Admission through management quota - the fee is expensive & it is around ?1,85,000 - ?2,00,000/-. The CET or the Government quota needs good marks & rank in etrance exam - CET (Common Entrance Test) & NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). It also depends upon the 12th class marks.

There are 3 types of scholarships available for students. 1. Scholarship for OBC students 2. Scolarship for SC & ST students 3. Scholarship for Minority students Most of the students fall under OBC Category, they will be benefitted by Vidyasiri scholarship by Karnataka Government. The scholarship amount is ?18,000/-. I have availed this scholarship twice. The students with parental income below ?2,50,000/- & come under OBC category can only avail this scholarship.

There are very good labs in our college, which are provided with better quality equipments & they meet international standards. Professors & the Lab attenders help students to execute the experints. Abou extra curricular activities - There are social platforms like NCC, NSS, LEAD, Rotaract, Association of Civil Engineers, IEEE, GIT Cultural team, Copam. Tge students take active participations in these platforms. These platforms create awareness in society about day to day social issues & also give them solutions. Copam is the platform for the students with photography skills, they capture the photos of events held in college.

Yes Alumni network is very important for the developnent of the College/Institute. They contribute in promoting the college in their regions. Some alumnis with good talent & leadership gets post in the management board of the the institute. Some alumnis get a chance to teach/train students as guest lecturers. Also few alumnis who start their own business startups can get intern students for them easily. This gives benefit for both students & alumnis. Alumnis also prefer new students about the institution, this brings/attracts attention of all under graduate students. Some alumnis also support the institute financially for the development. Hence Alumni base is very important for any institute.

I passed NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) exam & got 82 marks. With This I was Rural & Kannada medium student, this made my name to come in Merit list. I got my name in first merit list & got admission.

The college is having autonomous title under the affilation of Visveswaraya Technological University. The staff here cares about every student. 1 mentor assigned for every 3 students & likewise all students are governed by thier respective mentors. Mentors keep eye on studies of the students, attendance. Even faculties support us in extra curricular activities & cultural activities in which we participate. The guest lectures are arranged every month for introducing new technologies to the students.
