Progressive Education Society's Modern College of Engineering Pune, B.Tech, Electrical Engineering

Reviewed on Mar 23, 2020

Remarks

I want to give 7. 5 out of 10 as teaching quality is good and well maintained labs But canteen food is not that much good and there is no separate ground for our college so when we want to go to the ground we have to go to our modern arts college gate

Course Curriculum Overview

Very good course you will be able to know how electricity generated and distributed at higher efficiency after completing this course and in every company there is vacancy for electrical engineer We have semester pattern which means final exam is at every six months so total 8 semester during curriculum

Placement Experience

2.5

They are not providing internship but they are making you capable such that you can find a good job after your curriculum completion Some company came there but placement is limited to topper students as there overall aggregate is high

College Events

There are so many events conducted every year in our college which are quite enjoyable and you will learn so much out of that Our college event is M pulse in that so many students participated and in that event specifically robot race is there

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not too much expensive as compared to other colleges in pune And they are providing good quality of education And most importantly they are rising fees at any time during year so it is feasible for you

Fees and Financial Aid

No they are not providing any type of scholarship or loan facility as I know And No one in our class got any type of scholarship except government scholarship for backward students as I know I don't know if they are providing right now

Campus Life

Every year they are conducting sports competition with different other competition As I'm a electrical engineering student so I saw electrical lab and computer lab and those lab are quite good and well maintained

Hostel Facilities

2.5

In our college there is no hostel available for gents They are providing hostel facility only for girls As I know hostel fees is quite high for girls which is 60000 rupees per year in 2015-16 so girls are preferring to live at flats or PG rather than hostel

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

No I'm not connected with college right now so I don't know about alumni network but when I'm in college every year some alumni came to our college and share their valuable experience with us so we know the market value of engineer

Admission

Through msbte cap round After completing diploma you have to apply for cap round in which you can apply for maximum 100 college in each round and you will get college according to your preference given

Faculty

4.5

Very much cooperative staff & having good knowledge of teaching subject They always think about your future so they conduct various workshop and make bunch of certificate so you will easily find a job on basis of those certificate

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.
