Remarks

Incase if u are really serious about your course college will be of a good help to you. But you really have to work hard to get even the basic resources and all those extra things u want to do. Open opportunities are very less here. But yeah if u struggle a bit you can find whatever you want from this college

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Pretty good and well framed syllabus but it totally depends on the branch which u are studying in because it varies from branch to branch and every branch has different set of faculty and different committee

Placement Experience

Nope college doesn't provide any internship and placement again depends on the branch which u are choosing. But every branch has at least one core company for placement. And in addition to that there are mass recruiters who select students from all the branches

College Events

3.5

Insignia is a technical inter college fest which is celebrated every year apart from that there feista which is intra college fest and Novato is a freshers talent hunt which is basically for the first year's

Fee Structure And Facilities

Depends on your mode of admission. If u are joining through the state entrance test then it's minimum and if u join through all India entrance test might be a bit high and if u are opting for a management or donation seat it is high but it varied from one branch to another

Fees and Financial Aid

Students can apply for scholarships which are under govermental and non governmental.College always encourages students to apply for these scholarships. All the documents are verified properly and sent.

Campus Life

3.5

Encouragement for sports is somewhat good in this college. But if u are really interested into sports college gives u lots of opportunities and platform to participate.College has one physical education department also which takes care of all the inter college and intra college competitions held

Hostel Facilities

Hostel and mess here is pretty cheap rooms are kind of good.Mess food contrary to other college mess is really good.U get sweets, icecream, fruits and tasty food too. Both south Indian and north indian food is served.Depending on that day's menu

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really friendly and helpful here. There is no ragging here.U can literally have lots of fun with your seniors, Specially during the college fest and other events.Overall there's a friendly atmosphere in the whole campus.

Admission

There are 3 ways through which u can get into this college that is state common entrance tets CET or all India entrance test COMEDK or through a management quota. The fee structure varies accordingly

Faculty

2.5

Most of them have done PhD or might be pursuing PhD but again it varies from the branch which u are choosing. As usual in every college some faculties teach very well some are at medium level and some are very bad at it

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

We have a temporary campus .which was taken as rent in goverment engeneering college raichur .and permanent campus was yet to finish by the time juniors come the permanent campus will be getting finished.just needed the proper campus no improvments
The campus life was not as expected by a student because here the cluns are not very active like in any other colleges , u can enjot a lot with your friends in your hostel.
Every branch has a faculty adviser we can meet them and discuss our problems with them .the faculry were very good they were well experienced ,they teach in general way as any teacher does on a digital board.

Dislikes

The placement cell is not that good , the students were not getting places for good amount of package as expected .
The labs were not well maintained that should be resolved that is the main problem in this college as well as library we have a very small library which is in a size of a regular class
Hostel was not within the campus which makes some difficulty to walk through the streets with roaming buses and cars and bikes , in our college boy girl ration was very less it is 1: 7 like that.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for taking interships and they get placed in 7th semester and have to leave campus after 8th semester the highest would somewhere aroubd 20 lpa and avg would be 9 to 10 lpa . I plan to do Mtech in any reputed college by writing gate . The percentage of studebts getting placed are 70 %
