Remarks

Very good college. I definitely enjoyed my entire 4 years here. For girls, it is slightly strict as there are more rules. Like the curfew time is a bit earlier. Teaching can be improved a bit. Apart from that, this is good

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure for CSE is very good. Quality teaching and very good placements. I wouldn't say that we have the best facilities for research. But for placements, many companies come - Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Paypal, Zoho, Freshworks

Placement Experience

Yes, our college has the option to provide full internships in the last semester by doing our projects in our internship. I did my final semester internship at Freshworks and I was there for 6 months

College Events

Kuruksastra is our cultural festival event. Students from many colleges come here every years. The event lasts for 3 days and its like a festival. We also have a intra college sports event and a intra college cultural event

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say that its feasible. I had a tuition fees of 45k per sem. Students who score in top 10% and top1% will get deans scholarship which will take care of alsomost all the tuition fees that is being spent

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarships for top 10% students of each department. Top 1% students will get back all their tuition fees as their scholarships. I dont think the college itself has a provision for loans

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 50-50. Strict no to parties. Decent number of workshops. Students are ethnic. All the hindu festivals are celebrated grandly here. Even the local festivals like the Pongal is celebrated here

Alumni/Alumna

we recently got an invitation for alumni meets. Previously we did not have many alumni meets and I would say that the alumni network here is pretty weak. We have a few alumni working in top companies and would love to meet them

Admission

Our college uses the same entrance exam as IIT JEE. Weaightage is 70% of JEE score and 30% 12th board score. We also have quota for people who opt out of jee. 30% of quota is reserved for students who did not write JEE but wrote only board exams.

Faculty

Some of the faculties are very good. They know their stuff and help the students whenever we are in need. The teaching can be improved as most of the days they just use a PPT in order to teach. Other that that they are good

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges.
