Remarks

I believe i have explained everythng in detail in my answers above. I cant recall of anything negative though. What 1 focuses the most on is the faculty you get and that was superb. I am still in touch with my few teachers amd they are still serving with same enthusiasm.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was good with providing good exposure over various topics. Labs were kept atleast twice a week to provide students hand on experience. Students were mever over burdend with studies or lab experiments. Exams were also scheduled in a well structured manner allowing students to have enough time to prepare.

Placement Experience

3.5

Internship was provided by college in union with the university for final year students. Few of them were with 0 pay and there were few with stipend ranging from 2500-5000 per month ( in 2013). There were companies visiting for placements like luminous, amazon, hcl, aon.

College Events

4.5

We had technical fests, dance events, punjabi movie promotion events, punjabi music industry award nights, inter college championship involving various games, branch wise events which use to happen once a month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible When i studied there. There were various scholarships for various groups as well. Overall the feee of college and hostel was not very costly and was well within the range of a middle class family.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not took the loan so not sure about it. There was obc bank within the college campus and preety sure they were providing loans to students on special rates for education and hostel fee. College use to provide full support.

Campus Life

4

There were lot of events happening around throughout the year. Be it technical fest or cultural fest. Extracurricular activuties were organised almost on monthly basis, few of them were organised by branch specific committes and other were organised by college authorities. Focus was on activitues like group discussions, mock interviews and apptitude papers to make students ready for placements.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We had hostels with double and tripple sharing basis. Rooms were cleaned daily with a guy cominf in moring for cleaning purpose. Rooms were spacious and every student was provided with a bed, chair, study table and a cupbord.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors were always around whenever we needed them. This is bery specific to a person that how helpful that person can be. We were lucky enough that our seniors always helped us out whenevr required.

Admission

I appeared for entrance exam ( punjab cet 2009 ) and was selected through online counselling process hosted by Punjab technical university jalandhar. There were multiple rounds of counselling and during 1st round i was offered mechanical branch but i wanted to be in ECE so i got the same during 3rd round of councelling at PTU.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was 1 of the main points i loved my college. Professors were always on their toes to help out students with whatever help they need. They made sure that you are grabing the topics and understamding them well.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
