Remarks

College is everything i could have asked for. GSVM has help me develop in so many horizons. However I think considering the premier institute it is the failities need a little more management and investment.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is well balanced starting with the basics in First year with Physiology, Anatomy, Biology. In Second year we study Pathology Pharmacology, Microbiology along with Forensic Medicine. From 3rd year the subjets turn to more clinical based and it finally ends the core clinical subjects like surgery, medicine in final 4th year. The final year is followed by one year compulsory internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes. The college has a compulsory internship of 1 year. Stipend is 7500 per month. After completing the course one can join premier medical institutes across the country or join any government hospital.

College Events

4.5

Tarang 2019 was celebrated this year. It is one of the largest events of north indian medical colleges with a large budget. The event is attended ad supported by doctors and alumini's of the college. Teachers also play a major role in the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The annual fees depnds upon the category you belong to. Being 36000 for General students 18000 for OBC and so on. The fees is pretty nominal considering the costly course of MBBS in other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees being nominal there is not any scholarship scheme. However, Financially poor students are supported by the government by an yearly scholraship. Some people also go for scholarship from private banks too.

Campus Life

2.5

Being a premier medical institute the college has all a student can ask for. However due to lack of maintaince the facilites have wore down with time. The basketball court is in shambles. Cricket being a major sport is well supported.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are not great but considering the annual fess of nearly 5000/- it is managable. The rooms are spacious with tetra, double and single occupancy depending upon the year you study in. The hostel also is situated within the heart of the city.

Alumni/Alumna

alumini of GSVM are known as GEMS and they live upto their name. They are ery helpful and always help their juniors in whatever way they can. No matter how big the problen if you request your seniors they will whateer they can to help you.

Admission

I wanted to be a doctor and help the community. Growing up I was always fascinated by medicine and the feeling of being a doctor. After class 10th I selected Biology stream and after completing my 12th started preparing for NEET. I cleared NEET and got dselected in GSVM MEDICAL COLLEGE, kanpur.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is good. The teachers take care of students and even for the 8:00 am morning lectures the teachers are always on time. The concepts are well laid out for the students to understand. The residents are very helpful and cooperatibe and take time out of their busy schedule to teach the students
