Remarks

The college management needs some improvement. The faculty needs to improve as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our curriculum is designed in such a way that we are taught not only the core subjects but other subjects like Entrepreneurship, Service learning, languages like French, Spanish, German, etc. We are encouraged to make projects and apply as much creativity, skills and knowledge and keep learning simultaneously. Core subjects are divided into lab hours and theory hours. For theory, we have: 1. Unit tests 2. Class tests and Quizzes 3. Experiential learning hours (dedicated to self-study and assignments based on our understanding) 4. Project For lab : 1. Regular lab assignments 2. Final lab exam/viva 3. Project viva and presentation.

Placement Experience

3.5

For CSE, this year all the students were placed and the average salary was 4.5 lakhs/annum. Our placement cell works very hard for the placement of the college and keeps regular updates with the HRs of the other companies. I being a member of the placement cell for 2 months have witnessed this and our placements are witnessing immense growth every year. We have top companies coming like IBM, Tech Mahindra, Google, Microsoft. Crowd works which are a foreign company offered a student a package of 31 lakhs/annum. We also witnessed companies like BookMyShow, Shopify, Gomo group, Vodafone and many more. Also, we have an entire semester reserved for an internship where we are supposed to go for a 6-month internship in the industry and apply and learn practically.

College Events

4

Every year, we celebrate a lot of events. Our tech fest called Techela is held every year and has lots of technical and gaming events. Our college's Entrepreneurship club also conducts some events related to marketing, entrepreneurship, designing, creative thinking during Techela, and the entire fest experiences a lot of participation. Also, every year we have a cultural event called Reverb, where students get opportunities to show their talent. Not only students, but we also get participation from faculties with full enthusiasm. We have DJ Nights, local bands performing and tasty food stalls lined up for the evening. Other than this all festivals are celebrated with full enthusiasm and energy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive. For my course, we have a fee structure per year and have to pay fees on a semester basis. For : SEM I - 1,50,000(1,30,000 + 20,000( Institute deposit )) SEM II - 1,30,000 SEM III - 1,35,000 SEM IV - 1,35,000 I am not aware of the rest semesters because I am still in my 2nd year, but it generally lies between 1,30,000 to 1,35,000 per semester. It course fees is different for NRIs and foreign nationals.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed for an education loan, but I am not sure about the entire process, you can know that from the concerned bank managers.

Campus Life

4

We still require more girls in our college, but compared to all other branches CSE has the highest number of girls. Speaking about diversity, we have a great culture. Since Symbiosis encourages foreign students, we have students not only from various parts of India but from foreign countries. So, diversity is an important feature that you would witness at SIT.

Alumni/Alumna

According to me, we have amazing seniors. If I face any problem, I can find them easily and ask their help for the same. We have a great alumni network as well. In case of queries, our faculties connect us directly to the suitable alumni, who can give us a broader perspective according to their experiences.

Admission

For SIT, 75% of seats are reserved for admissions through SITEEE and the rest 25% through JEE (15%) and MH-CET (10%). I applied through MH-CET. Then, I was called for the counselling process at the college campus and further procedures were followed by paying the first semester fees through a Demand Draft to lock my seat. In case you wish to cancel your seat, you get a refund from the college after cutting a certain percentage of the fees.

Faculty

3

Our faculty have great expertise in whatever subjects they teach. They not only teach us but learn simultaneously. Many teachers here have written research papers and are currently pursuing their PhD in the college itself, hence they keep researching stuff and also encourage enthusiastic students to learn and make projects and do research under them.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
