Remarks

One needs to maintain 75% attendance or else is debarred. Few engineering courses are still developing.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As I am an engineering student they offer a one-week induction program for them. The course curriculum for all engineering courses for 1st semester 1st year is almost the same as you have to learn the base for engineering. In first semester does an introduction to your course. The main subjects start from 2nd year. In the second year you cover up your aircraft dynamic structure and propulsion.

Placement Experience

4

In third-year students who have opted for TPP are allowed to sit for placements. They are given special training for soft skills, aptitude, presentation skills in order to get them prepared. Placement record for university is very good. It's getting better for aerospace. Aerospace students mostly get recruited in Indigo, Aerospace etc. Placements of good for CSE and other courses.

College Events

4.5

Chandigarh University is known for the events it holds. Start of the year there's a freshers party been organised at the university level. Then all departmental events are also been held. Followed by sports events. In winter season CU fest is been held. It is considered as a grand event as it continues for 2 days includes many activities celebrity appearances. Then we have a tech fest. In between all these events are there are Tashan nights going on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee payment can be done online as well as offline. Fee dates are extended if given no good reason. Late fee charges are applied. There is transparency in the breakdown. Additional charges of been taken for security deposit examination fees Red cross fee. You can do part payment for your hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you maintain a CGPA above 7.5 you can avail scholarship facilities. We also have scholarship for sports quota sports students are provided with a real opportunity to over here.

Campus Life

4

There is an equal number of girls and boys. We have a huge campus. There are many shops offering mostly Punjabi dishes as well as South Indian North Indian. We have big cultural diversity. There are no cases of ragging. It's safe University. There are cases of students getting rusticated for causing trouble.

Hostel Facilities

4

Good hostel facilities are provided. There are 4 girls hostels. Food is good compared to other hostels. Laundry facilities can be availed if you pay. The outing is provided on weekends. Hostel in time is 6:00 each floor has a different warden. Everyday attendance is taken at 7:00 p.m.

Alumni/Alumna

Your seniors are always helpful. We have regular senior-junior interaction will they help us. Is always a good relationship between seniors and juniors. They are often found making project together. Discrimination between a senior and junior. New ragging cases have been found.

Admission

I did my research for the colleges offering this course of aerospace engineering. I got to know about CU through its online website. I choose this institute because only some institutes offer this course of aerospace. This university had good infrastructure and good course details and syllabus. I filled an online admission form. Then the next day when I came I registered myself and this was a simple admission process.

Faculty

3

My course faculty includes senior-most teachers and new ones. Almost all of them have completed their masters. Each subject has a different faculty. You can to your doubts from any teacher you want. They provide notes on a regular basis. There is no lack of material during if anyone has any doubt or any problem regarding the teacher there is always a meeting held between class representative.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
