Remarks

At last I would just like to say that if you want to make your dream of earning wings then Chandigarh university is the best place. I have achieved many things while studying some of them are first NCC airwing flight cadet from aerospace department of Chandigarh University. The class representative of class from the last consecutive 2 years. Member of Board of studies association of Chandigarh University and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum and exam structure are designed in such a way that every student should be able to understand the course, course designing is done in 2 phases 1. At Departmental level course is designed by the faculty and HOD along with the feedback from class representatives 2. In this stage, the course is discussed by the team of board of studies in which student member and department head.

Placement Experience

5

Following are the companies that visited campus for placement drives Indigo, TCS, Aviotron, vimanyk and many more, the average placement percentage is around 80-90 annually. in order to ensure maximum placement university help students to make students ready for placement drives.

College Events

5

There are various events organized in campus in which students participate from other universities too, this is very good initiative by the university following are some events organized by university tech fest, space week, engineers day, departmental level project display, innovation day, youth festival and many more events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am paying semester fee of 75000 which I think is less than other private institutions who provide aerospace engineering course there are no such additional charges expect semester and examination fees for admission, the accounts department of Chandigarh University is very helpful as if you are having any trouble in paying fees they help us by extending the date of payment of fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted any student loan and scholarship. Procedure to avail scholarship is very simple all we have to do is we have to show our academic record to university-based upon marks obtained we will get a scholarship.

Campus Life

5

If I talk about cultural diversity, in CU there are a lot of international students studying here also from different regions of India are studying here which is a very good thing as a result of which we learn to live and learn different cultures. There are different competitions organized such as debates in technical competitions which help in overall development of students.

Alumni/Alumna

I would like to thank my seniors who helped me a lot in my academics my seniors are very supportive they always help when we are in trouble. I had met Prithvi Singh Man who was senior under an officer of NCC company Chandigarh university and he is also alumni of Chandigarh university, sir had motivated me a lot to join defence forces and also he helped me to develop my personality.

Admission

Designing aeroplanes and flying them was my childhood hobby when I completed my school in science stream with mathematics, I started searching about aerospace engineering colleges in India specifically in Punjab, during this I visited many universities and then I searched about Chandigarh university and I made contact with them and they briefed me about their different courses.

Faculty

5

There are around 20 teachers in our aerospace department all teachers are highly qualified in their respective domains having good teaching experience. All the teaches are very kind and supportive they always help students whether it's related to academics or any other research work, some of the teachers are from aviation and IAF background which is a great opportunity for us to get knowledge from them.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
