Remarks

Comparing to placements my College is one of the best in India. Last year my College secured 38th position in NRIF ranking. But due to more restrictions and rules hostel and food. People will not prefer this College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Civil engineering. When someone says the word Engineer, i used to think a man with safety cap in a construction site. And i also had an interest in this side. Class internal assessment (CIA) will be conducted thrice a semester and the best of two will be considered for semester exam as internal marks. 50 marks internal and 50 marks for semester exam. Labs are well maintained with modern equipments.

Placement Experience

5

Sastra is known for placements. More than 90% of the students will be placed in companies at the end of the College. Our College will provide internship. We will be doing internship early once(summer internship) technically oriented.

College Events

4

We will be celebrating technical fest- DAKSH, Cultural fest- KURUKSASTRA and COLLOSEUM for sports. Will be held on even semester. This will be taking part 3 days per event. Sports events will be fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not much expensive. Per semester the fee will be around 70k, hostel fee per annum is around 15k and mess fee per month is around 4k. Compared to Anna University fee structure is expensive but comparing to other deemed University the fee structure is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who are scored more marks in their state board/CBSC has a special scholarship. Those who are having CGPA above 8.5 are having scholarship for GRE classes and further master studies. But there is no scholarship for other students.

Campus Life

3

For Cricket, football, volleyball, Tennis there constructed separate ground, court. We have an indoor stadium which includes gym, shuttle court. And coaches are available for mentioned sports. But they didn't considered for indoor sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

Infrastructure of the hostel is not pretty good but service of the workers will be good. Students are allowed to go to their home 2 times per semester. There are more restrictions for hostel(even heaters, kettles are not allowed).

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful for clarifying doubts and in explaination of many events that are taking part in our College. They are conducting many workshops for exposure. Ragging/bullyness is strictly offense in our College.

Admission

I had an interest in doing engineering in one of the best Colleges in Tamil Nadu. So i chose Sastra. I refered Google and asked friends, relatives and alumni of this College. Admissionn process is done in the criteria of 75% of JEE mains and 25% of State board/CBSC total marks.

Faculty

4

Faculties are so kind and helpful for the students. They are enough qualified for teaching B.Tech degree. They will be knowing what difficulty the students would face and brings up a solution for it.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
