Remarks

Our campus is ragging free campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited here. Not a single case of ragging is found. That's why here everyone whether senior or junior are friendly here. Quality of teaching can be improved, with more focus on practical learning rather than theory and cramming everything just to pass University exams. Exams pattern also needs to be changed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Structure is good with reference to the current scenario of CSE and it changes as per the needs. If there feels a need to change the course structure then University does it according to the need of today's world. In one semester we have two MST exams and one semester final exam along with theory and practical paper of all the subjects. Exam comes within a short span of a month but once we get used to it, then there's no worry. If feels hectic only in first and second semester but afterwards everything becomes normal.

Placement Experience

4

University started in 2012 and getting garde of A+ by NAAC in such a short span of 7 years is the biggest achievement. It is continuously working towards making better future of students. Placements are good here as compared to other private universities such as LPU, Chitkara or any other colleges. The average package offered 2 years ago was 3.75 LPA but after improving it's placements this year it has grown to 6 LPA and most importantly Google has also recruited students this year from our university with an whooping package of 45 LPA along with Microsoft, Deloitte, Nutanix and several other companies also offering a good package.

College Events

5

Our university organizes evry year techfest, hackathon, expert talk with industry experts, All india University games competitions and also cultural fest like it was celebrated this year Punjab State youth festival. Also it has its own events which helds almost every week.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tuition fees is 80, 000 per semester along with 1, 500 examination fees each semester which is affordable for many of the students but not all because some students come from very poor background. Fee is less than several other good private colleges but can be a little lesser that is upto 60, 000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

University provides scholarship to students those who have got good ranks in JEE mains and advanced examination based in the ranks. It also provide scholarship to students those who secure 9.5 CGPA or above in university examinations. Then it has scholarship for Single girl child and also for orphan students. University has separate loan department to deal with all the loan assistance which student needs which is headed by Balwant sir, one of the good person.

Campus Life

5

Labs are well equipped. It has also got various sports field within the campus and organizes sports competition everytime. Gender ratio is about 1000:150. Workshops are also organised almost every week for betterment and extra knowledge of students. It also focuses on research and filling patents. It also holds records for filling 500 patents in just 7 years which is more than IITs and NITs.

Hostel Facilities

4

I haven't opted for hostel. I live outside campus in an Apartment with my friends which costs us 3000 each and mess cahrges 2500 each. But a few times I have visited hostel premises, it looks good. Infrastructure is good. 3, 4 and 5 seater rooms are available along with mess facility, free wifi, cooler in every room, each hostel has its own gym along with the trainer and 24 hrs water and electricity supply. Mess food is neither too good nor too bad.

Alumni/Alumna

A few times I have got chance to interact with seniors in seminars, workshops and interaction sessions. Few of them are very good guys in nature and very helpful but not all. Whenever we meet any seniors, they interact well and be like frienda nit showing their seniority. They provide us numbers for any help in future.

Admission

I got direct admission on the basis of 12th marks to Computer Science branch but from this year onwards, after getting A+ grade by NAAC, University has introduced an entrance based admission known as CUCET. I wanted to study CSE and I got it here.

Faculty

3.5

Some of the teachers are best for the course and some need to improve their teaching quality and teaching style, doing more and more interaction with students. Also a few teachers and HOD's are very supportive, for all the problems.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
