Remarks

Overall IGNOU is good in distance learning segment the only thing I wants to see improved is their support staff like counsellor, information giving staff and operation people, also student must be taught about the employability skills which is very much required.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and content is designed very well even the teachers which takes classes on weekend are too good, examination once has to submit the assignments and get good grading to sit in semester exams and believe me it is not that much easy.

Placement Experience

For placements IGNOU organises a job fair time to time but for internship one has to go themselves, IGNOU does not offer internship, and I am student as of now, I am yet to receive placements opportunities.

College Events

As IGNOU is distance learning I have only heard about the alumni meet. Apart of this they organises a placement drive to help the pass out candidates so that they can get the good companies to work with.

Fee Structure And Facilities

IGNOU fee is divided into semesters and again subject wise in every semester one has to choose 4 subjects and for each subject you need to pay RS 1500 each, after this there is a semester exam fee which is again subject wise, overall fee is Very much feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

As IGNOU fee is very much feasible and there is no need of paying the full course fee in one go, hence I think loan facility is not required at all. for scholarship I am not aware as never applied for same.

Campus Life

As far as I know I never been to the any kind of activities, as I am working student and never had a chance to participate ever. I have never heard of the extracurricular activities plan of college in my presence.

Alumni/Alumna

IGNOU organises alumni meet in every year and help in exchanging thoughts and ideas of successful students, all the alumni are very much helpful to the new ones as they suggest the suitable path to carry on.

Admission

There was a entrance test called MAT after successfully clearing the test and scoring the acceptable marks to get admission I applied for MBA COURSE, I prepared demand drafting for fee payment filled the admission form and submitted then I got a ID CARD and admission letter was sent to my home address.

Very good and experienced with real life examples. IGNOU appoint a study centre in case you are interested to attention a regular classes you can go but believe me you must attend because the kind of teachers they have they are fabulous and having rich experience of teaching and industry.

Infrastructure and classrooms for students.
Overall exposire given like rural imersion and outbound leadership programs for students.
Conferences and exposure with industry experts

Dislikes

The campus is a bit short and has limited premises
The senior junior relationship which can be stressful for introvert students
No bus facilities given for students travelling acress ncr region

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the first year and there are companies that comes highest package is around 20+ Lpa and the minimum average is 11 lakhs for all the students after the degree.

Likes

The companies coming for internships are great
The experienced faculty who came from IIMs
The experienced clubs and their guidance

Dislikes

There is bit of mismanagement experienced,
There is last minute information available at the end moment
Disclarity in information throughout the whole semester

Placement Experience:

It is okay and it is based on luck of the student more than hardwork. You also have to network super well to get into good dream companies. It is a good place to get it out of luck through ATS sysytem.

One of the strongest aspects of the institute is the faculty and the academic environment. Frequently members are generally experienced and approachable.
The teaching methodology includes case studies, presentation, group, assignments, group, discussions, projects, and practical assignments.
Another positive aspect is the exposure to corporate and professional life.

Placement Experience:

Lbsim has a structured campus placement process with participation from companies across sectors, such as consulting FMCG, IT/ITES , BFSI, marketing and operations. The institute provides students with placement preparation through aptitude test, mock interview interviews, group discussion, resume, building and corporate interaction.

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths.
