Remarks

The management was sober, interactive but could provide a little more opportunities.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam for my course. I was a science student in the junior college. But I knew that was not something I wanted to do. I always wanted to get into films and Mass Media was the most closely related to what I wanted to do. Hence this field. The admission was not a problem because of my good marks in std 12th.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course had 2 semisters every year and each Sem had 6 subjects, few of which were totally relevant. The third year subject advertising Design was a very amazing subject. It was a 100 mark practical subject which was one of the most relevant subject.

Internships Opportunities

There was no company that came to offer internships. Although I was doing a 4 month internship regarding which the college co-operation was great. I was allowed the internship which prior permission and my examinations were taken care of and also my attendance. The college didnt provide me with this internship but it made sure that I fully avail of it.

Placement Experience

0.5

Zero opportunities for placements. At the end of our Mass Media course, we did not have an companies coming to our campus to provide us any sort of package. Our teachers always recommended us to companies and also sent us emails regarding job opportunities but none of the companies came to the campus for placements.

College Events

3

The events are celebrated well. There are college festivals. Then there are days like superhero day, school day etc that students usually enjoy. Also traditional days where students had to dress up and the participation was good because even the faculty would follow these which was the best part and would encourage students for it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was afforable. Feasible for all. It was Rs 17,000 per year which could be afforded by even an average family. 13,000 for the first semister and the remaining 5,000 for the second semister. Totally Feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

None. There are no scholarship opportunities that I have come across. Atleast not in my case. I have never come across any of my friend or acquaintance that took a scholarship or any loan facility.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is something I miss. No inequalities. Various workshops and cultural activities keep taking place. Bhavans is known for its campus. The campus has a huge ground which holds various cultural activities. There is no intolerance regarding gender, race, religion etc

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The food is good. I was not a part of the hostel hence I dont have an idea about that but the mess food was reasonable and feasible. They had set menus per weak and for Rs 60 we got unlimited food which was very affordable.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were the most loved. We had a lot of fun and interaction together. The college provided good interaction opportunities. Also the seniors were very helpful when it came to notes and examinations which helped us grow.

Exam Structure

Exams were quite chilled out. We had continuous papers but the examinations got over in a week. Would not leave us with a hectic day unlike the engineering papers. Also the examinations were conducted once in every 2 months including the internals, presentations and the externals hence we got enough time to prepare.

Faculty

3

The faculty is average. Could be improved. We had 6 subjects and just 2 teachers teaching us all the 6 (3 subjects each). Later in the next semister it improved. And we had 3 teachers and hence I wish the faculty improves a little and they get more teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

No bad remark as such everything is either excellent or at a average but most of the facilities are great . The college maintains a standard and teaches its students not only academics but also a standard of living and facing problems that are occurring or may occur later in life.
