No, I haven't opted for the hostel. I come to the college daily from home and most of the students do the same. By the way our college does not have any hostels. Some of the students live in the PG's nearby the college.
The senior students are very interactive and close with us. They help us in clearing out doubts in some of the subjects. They also share their experience of subjects with us.
I opted for this coarse because I was interested very much in computer software development. I dreamed to become a computer program developer. That's what forced me to join this coarse. The admission was made based on the marks scored by the student in the PU board exams.
Number of lecturers in the coarse: 25 Average age:33 Qualifications: MCA MSc BE The lecturers here are very relevent in explaining the subjects to the students. Smart classes are also held to make the subject more reliable. 50% of the lecturers have an average experience of 9years.

Overall, Jain University is a nice college but the feedback system is of no use there, they just take the feedback but dont consider it at all.
Admissions happen at the time of March-June. I saw the list of best colleges in Bangalore and Jain University was the 2nd top University for BCA course which formed a good image in my mind about the college. Though the admission process starts with an online form which takes 1500 INR fees and then student have to give an entrance exam which is JET, if the student passes in that exam then a personal interview happens at the same day then the rest of fee submission takes place which is 1, 47, 000 INR for BCA (MACT specialisation) course.
There is nothing that positive to be exclaimed about this college, There are negative things about the college and these are not good for the students who wish to study here. Being a former student of this college I've learnt things by myself taking courses externally and securing a job.
The only remark I would like to give is the college is out of the city (2 km) and there is a traffic police station on the way. So you have to be careful with a vehicle on the road so that you don't end up paying a huge amount of fine to the officer.
