Remarks
Management should be more friendly to students and accessible by the student representatives. The college should not concentrate only on academics but also on to cultural and creative side of students. Then only the students of our college will be the better citizen of the country.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was old but i think now it has been updated because the whole engineering colleges comes under one university and is having one syllabus. The university is called kerala technical university or APJ Abdul kalam university. Now the whole curriculum is changed so i think its for the best.
Placement Experience
Poor. But there were some faculties who were good with their subjects and the number of faculties was less according to any other colleges nearby us.
College Events
Arts fest were being held every year. Tech fest was forbidden because the management refused. Cultural and regional celebrations were celebrated in the college. Technical fest held in every 4 years. Sports meet was one good thing that we all remember. Being an alumni i think they shouldn't had restricted or refused every chances because the celebrations and the preparations for those days were the best things that i still remembering now and gratefull for.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible for me because i got the merit seat and scholarship. May be it is expensive for management seat students but i dont exactly know. the college accepted every mode of payments. Yes there was an additional charges that had to be paid in order to secure an admission for management seat or admission. Yes the transparency was there in every fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college offered and availed scholarships. There were so many types of scholorships based on religion and academics. For me it was 15000 for a year.
Campus Life
Gender equality was there because in kerala education is a must for everyone regardless of gender. Student politics was prohibited inside campus. But elections were held every year. Every types of students were in our college without any description or seperation.
Hostel Facilities
Yes i stayed in hostel for 3 years. In one room 3 to 4 peoples were shared. The fees also was feasible. And they accepted any mode of payment. PG rentals are varied from one another but for average 2000 inr per month for rooms without food for medium quality rooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the alumni groups are active and helpful for the new passed out students to get jobs. The alumni network is active even in abroad.
Admission
As per the ranklist i got merit seat in this colllege and about the branch i always wanted to be a mechanical engineer. But i chose this institution because my cousin referred me as this is one of the good institutions near to my home. When i joined the college that time it was at 12th rank in best engineering colleges of kerala.
Faculty
Moderate. In one semester average lectures was 260 hours. Average age is 22 when they get the graduation. Qualification is 12th and moderate rank in entrance exam with atleast 50 percent marks in physics chemistry and mathematics. Most of theLecturers had no industry experiences but some did.
