It is a good college and there is only few students because of there is only 3 departments

Course Curriculum Overview

This college gives graduation in general microbiology. After it we can specialise in industrial,medical and food microbiology as per your taste. The basics shall be given in the general microbiology.The college provides good lab facility and there will not be any scarcity for any type of agar or chemicals. There is enough equipments such as incubator, microwave oven etc for the proper working of the laboratory. The lab is fully satisfactory.

Placement Experience

There are no placement facilities for Microbiology students. BCom students have a placement facility. The microbiology students shall get their jobs their own.

College Events

There will be seminars conducted by each departments. Then all cultural celebration shall be conducted. All students will participate in every programs conducted in the college. The college have conduct Onam, Chouristmas, College Day, Union day, seminars etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible. Since it is a govt college there is comparatively low fee. Fee for affiliated and private colleges are very high. The government college will only charge minimum fee and there will be consideration for financially backward students

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I dont opt any education loan. The education loan shall not be needed because there is no unbearable fee.

Campus Life

There is more girls on the college. All extra curricular activities are done in the college. All sports and arts competition are conducted. The lab facilities are good. There is no discrimination on race, relegion, and gender.The students are very friendly.

Hostel Facilities

The college provides hostel for only girls. The boys are getting rooms or houses nearby for rent.It is a remote place because of there will not be high rent.The houses and room is easily available there.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

No. I don't have any connections with the seniors or passed out students. Iam not sure if there is an alumni association.

Admission

I got the admission on a special allotment published by Calicut university.I choosed this college because it is the only govt college which got microbiology as a degree and pg. For the admission you have to go thourough the online admission process of Calicut university.

Faculty

Since it is a govt college the teachers are selected purely on merit. All will be qualified and experienced.Each of them will be with a post graduation of the teaching subject. They will also have PhD and with teaching experience. The teacher are well aware of the lab working. The other departments like BCOM and BA English are also like this.

Loved the college campus and academic approach campus is very vast and diverse provide good classroom environment
Teachers are very supportive and friendly to every student there

I chose bsc psychology because i just love to comfort others and tries to solve their problems our college curriculum makes us not only good in studies but also real life experiences in everyday psychological situations and how to overcome that kind of situation

Balanced campus life and quality of education

Likes

The teachers were suppourtive and explained the subject clearly
The college campus was clean ,peacful and had a good learning atmosphere
The library and other facilities were useful for students and exam preparation

Dislikes

No placement were there so students had to took jobs on their own
Some classrooms and laboratory facilities needed improvement
More extracurricular activities should be arranged

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well structured and covered the fundamental concepts in all details .It included both theoretical and practical learning ,which helped in understanding the subject better .Internal assessment, assignments and semester examinations were conducted regularly.The exams were of moderate difficulty and manageable with regular study.

In our college, along with studies it focus extracurricular activities. Each year definitely some people selected for mg university youth festival and they got prizes in participating items. Kolkali is highlight of our college.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

There is a thing that i don't like is that is the juniors can't participate in dance session for programs that occurring in our college. Only seniors are participating for it and also the dressing for some event are controlled by the Seniors. Buuutt
In college facilities there is not that much places for sitting during the intervals. That makes everyone bothered.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The course is available in private college therefore there must be fee. The admission fees for this course is 25000.and for those who take admission by management they want to give 50000.after that there is semester fees, which is 16000 for every semester.Our lab and tuition fees are including in this, exam fee we want to pay on the time of exam. In college competitive our course have a greater fee comparing to others. There is scholarship for the category's like SC, ST. Not know the exact amount of scholarship.
