I feel proud to be a student of Gurucharan College

Yes it includes from learning the basics of animal kingdom classifications and than entering into details of structural cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, applied parts like biotechnology, space biology and applied biology. At the last semester we used to have an educationak tour which was preferably outside Assam. This tour was the most essential part as it gave us the final exposure to our theoretically learnt objectives in different University and research institute.

Nothing as such. Because it's a degree college and maximum students move on to m.sc or other applied master's course there is no placement cell.

Generally technical sessions or events were organised or attended those organised by institutional biotech hub and institutional bioinformatics centre. Regarding cultural activities, there were lots of program including fresher's, teachers day, other important functions and lastly farewell. Generally programs we're held in two parts. One in dept level which would have audience of 100+ and than in college level which housed audience more than 2000

Fee structure is moderate. Payment mode is online via atm card There are no additional fees for admission. Students of zoology and other departments who goes for excursion, the fees is collected by teacher in charge and the total expenses are recorded and evaluated by all participants

I didn't opt for any loan or scholarship. As I was general and app so I was not applicable for any sort of scholarship or grants. And I didn't take any education loan

Gender ratio is excellent. There's no boys : girls discrimination.equal representation of boys and girls are evident. There were quiz competition, essay writing compensation etc at departmental level. Regarding students diversity, there are more than 15+ tribes from different states and the major clans if Hindu, Muslims, Chouristian and manipuri thourives. But there is no religious discrimination in campus.

Nothing as such. There is an alumini association but it's not active. The college is 80+ years old and the alumini of first 10years are almost all dead. The middle section consists of all senior citizen and so the alumini is not functioning.

B.sc zoology has a great prospoect in academics as well research field. Its the gateway to many applied and technical courses in master's level and is the foundation pack of dimense opportunities. Moreover in today's world dimensions of carrer opportunities must be wide open because specialisation in early stages narrowed down you scope of getting engaged in future. First I filled up the form (that time offline mode, now it's online mode) and waited for the merit list. Than I just had to take admission on assigned date post counseling.

During our time we had 7 facilities. The two senior most faculties ruined our interest at the beginning. They literally took no classes. Later on the other faculties would take up extra classes during this period. Luckily they both are retired now. To be practical the teachers had low industrial exposure because maximum we're old recruits except 2 faculities who had other research and industrial training. So they both used to quench the thirst of industrial enlightening part.
