Remarks

Excellent college with great placement records. The university is growing at rapid pace and recently has been giving NAAC A+ grade.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Everything is just perfect. It organizes science fairs, new ideas fairs, tech fest, cu fest across the year which provides the students the oppurtunity to think inNo,vatively and come up with new ideas for the betterment of the human society. There are interuniversity tournaments where our university is doing well and have won many national prizes.

Placement Experience

5

The placement scenerio of the university is just outstanding. Over 1000+ of companies have visited our campus in a calender year. The university is trying its best for the students. The university allows to go for the internships in the 7 or 8 semester if thats sanctioned by the authorities. Currently I am placed in two mnc companies and will be joining from august.

College Events

3.5

Cu tech fest, maths and science olympiads, green competition, go cart competition, movies promotions, cu cultural fest, tedx talks, inter university sports competition. The scale of conduct of the competitions or fests are so large that the people from not only india but the students of other countries also participate and the college also arranges the accomodation too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college ofders very feasable fee structure. There is complete transparency in the fee structure. All the transaction can be conducted online or from the account office. They accept netbanking, credit/debit card, cash. The academic fee for our session (2016-2020) was 65000 per semester and the hostel fee was 75000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships will be provided directly based on the merit. To continue your scholarship you need to maintain cgpa as per there criteria.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good. proper security measures are taken by the university. You will find guard at everyplace of the university to prevent any mishap. The labs here are of high standards. Proper equipments are provided. There are special workshops for the roborics and all such mechanical or civil engg related events.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, The hostels are in good condition and the food being served in the mess is also good. The quality of the food being served is pretty good as the faculty members also dine in there only. It gives 4 sharing rooms only. While the pg located in kharar will cost you around 5-6 k with food and 2 bhk fats will cost around 10-12k per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful. My experience with seniors is very good. For all the advices regarding any issues I consulted my seniors and they always helped me out.

Admission

The college is located near chandigarh so it was at a mobile location. Moreover the fee structure was pretty good when compared to other colleges and it offered large scale exposure and placement oppurtunities to its students. The admission process is pretty simple. Once clear with the exam then directly pay some amount (which was 10k at our time) to reserve you seat.

Faculty

3.5

The teaching faculty in the university is not that much experienced. Average age of the teachers in university would be aroun 28-30. No,rmally the working time of the college is from 9:30 am to 4:30pm. But there are some expert teachers in every field who have got genius brains and can help you up in building strong projects.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
