Course Curriculum Overview

Mechanical engineering at VEC has a very good course structure and focuses a lot on research work. The course follows the duration of 4 years. The syllabus is updated as per the changes made and the evolution in technology. The days at the institution is generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

Placement Experience

There is the department of placement. VEC provides with great opportunities to its students. There are internships for the students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements for their students. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme and enhance their skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of VEC FOR this course is around 2 lakh which is quite feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

Campus Life

VEC excels in its extracurricular activities. They enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball and so on. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fates in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure. This also helps in developing competitive spirit among the students.

Hostel Facilities

Vandayar Engineering College provides separate Hostel facilities for outstation Boys and Girls. A Home away from your home. The Hostel is administered by the warden appointed. Hygienic and Tastier Food will be provided in the Hostel Mess as per the Chosen Menu. Non – vegetarian food will be served weekly twice. Private cooking in the rooms is not permitted.

Vandayar Engineering College is a unit of Vandayar Group, which is a renowned group of Educational Institutions with over 25 years of Educational Excellence. BE mechanical engineering is the course which has the duration of 4 years. To get admission at VEC which is one of the very good institutions providing the course, you are supposed to have passed your class 12th with PCM as your subjects. The students need to appear for the entrance exam TNEA and based on their merit in the exam, they will be called for the admission and the student will have to provide with necessary documentation

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas.My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
