Remarks

College management is exemplary. There is nothing negative. They are highly professional and organised management.

Entrance Preview

Admission was based on PUC marks and interview. The interview was very brief and meaningful, straight into my anticipation when joining that college. The interviewer had read through my high marks and had appeared already decided to admit me. That was a great experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I was admitted into Zoology major and Botany and Chemistry as subsidiary subject. Curriculum was university directed. It was spic and span and to the point always. Daily routine was busy and hectic.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship offered to any student in any way. As there was no internship, there was no question of stipend. I had outside scholarship only.

Placement Experience

2.5

During the year 1990 I had passed, there was no placement arrangement in the college campus. We had to look for jobs outside. There was not even training to job interviews.

College Events

3.5

There were cultural, sports and debate events every year.Cultural events were assigned to select students to organize and conduct.Sports events included tennis, badminton, running and long jump events.Cultural sport events were huge and conducted in college grounds. Intercollegiate cultural events were hosted in our premises. In all usually thousands of students used to participate. Debates were conducted every month on various subjects. Everybody was encouraged to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was the most expensive of all the colleges in chennai. I presume this college charged the highest, for the reputation it enjoys. Fee was during that time 40,000 per annum payable in monthly instalments.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had availed a merit scholarship sponsored by an outside agency. But the college does not give scholarships by itself.

Campus Life

4.5

Study was the major concentration there. However, the library was excellent. I developed my taste to read books from college library and I still read because of my college inspiration. Lab was very good. I had not come across robotics. But debates were encouraged a lot There were frequent debate competitions.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was not a hostelite. But from what I hear from others who stayed in hostels, I understand hostel food needed improvement and variety. Most of the students form hostel felt hungry all the time. Day scholars used to take them food to supplement.

Alumni/Alumna

I am not in touch with other alumni except for one. College has not got the alumni together to my knowledge. I wish they could organise a alumni meet reuglarly.

Exam Structure

Curriculum was very heavy and strict. Final year, there were exams every week end. That was way too difficult to handle and exhausting. There was no place or time to relax. It was work all the time.

Faculty

4

All of them were thorough and totally professional. Every class was an experience in itself, all faculties sincerely in to every detail of the subject. There was utter discipline in class and no fooling around in the class was ever allowed.
