College Management is good. They provide you with help when asked.

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses are based on the pattern followed by internal and external examination. Internal has 40% weight-age whereas External have 60%. Moreover these internal consist of Mid-sem, practicals, surprise test, Attendance marks (90%above gets extra marks). And External exams consist of Theory exams which are of 60 marks which make the result by combining each aspect. Moreover, there is a relative marking scheme applied.

Class Size: 2500Course Fees: INR 77987 per year

Placement Experience

There are more than 450 companies only for CSE that visit the campus every year. Approx every one gets placed here.

College Events

CU FEST, TECHNICAL FEST, YOUTH FEST, TASHAN NIGHTS, and some of the movie promotion are done along with it. These fest are organised with great energy and enthusiasm for students. I have attended at least 15-20 programs through which I have seen people coming from different parts of India as well as the world with their skills and talent.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For CSE department it is moderate like for academics fees: rs.70,000/-(approx) hostel(if joined): 78,000/- Fee payment can be done online and offline too. Fee payment is also allowed in the part payment where the student can pay the fees partly and according to given time otherwise, late fees charges are been taken by the students.

No, I haven't opted for any scholarship or Loan but if a student wants to get the scholarship can contact the particular account department for details.

Campus Life

Campus life is good, Infrastructure is amazing. Facilities for Sports are provided as there is a specific department for Sports. Extracurricular Activities are as music department and many Clubs are been there where the student can participate and thus can enhance the skills.

Hostel Facilities

Great. Facilities like food, water, internet speed are adequate and security is also good for every students. Moreover there are Gyms for students and Indoor playing Games. They have also provided Study Rooms in the Hostel Towers. Hostel Environment is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, Seniors are interactive and help us in guidance with Proper support. There are special seminars organised where we students can interact with the senior and thus gain their knowledge of experience.

Admission

For admission minimum, 50 to 60% marks in 12th is required. Anyone passing this criterion can avail admission in the university. I am currently in CSE department and i have got ample of opportunity to learn various things. Not only with academics but yes with proper guidance, ample of chances to grow the personality.

Faculty

Enthusiastic teachers who are ready to help when asked. Moreover, the CSE Department consist of Knowledge-able teacher who have good knowledge over the subjects with proper Guidance, a student can have good skill and knowledge which is being provided by the teachers.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
