My College Review

I am pursuing MBA from Chandigarh University and as a student, I would like to share my experience here at CU and why to choose CU for pursuing an MBA, Chandigarh University is ranked NAAC A+ Grade accredited University. University School of Business (USB) at CU is Ranked 5th among all private institutes for Management students. Chandigarh University holds its name in the Limca Book of Records for the highest number of MNCs visiting the campus in any academic year. Faculties here are highly qualified with a minimum of 5 to 6 years of industry experience. Most of the faculty is a doctorate and carries the teaching experience of 6 to 7 years approximately.

The MBA program has 8 subjects and 2 labs in 1st semester which includes a personality development course which helps students to improve their communication skills and personality as a whole. In the second semester, we have 7 subjects and 1 lab of digital marketing. There are separate classes of aptitude and soft skills for the students in the working hour of college itself for students so that the students have a better chance to crack any exam and interview further in placements.

Chandigarh University has a 100% placement record for MBA students. CU has a dedicated department, Department of Career Planning and Development which looks after the training and placements of the students. DCPD organizes Mock PI to improve your interview skills and also has a tie-up with Aspiring Minds with the help of which they organize test series and mock AI for students to practice and brush up their skills at home. Major MNCs come for the placements of MBA students, the names are Deloitte, Infosys, WIPRO, Coffe Day, HDFC bank, and many more.

Campus life at CU is very exciting and fun-loving, CYU organizes various fests and mostly there's a cultural event going in the campus. Some of the major fests and events are CU Fest. AIU National Fest (where students from various countries perform). AAGHAAZ (Freshers Party). Tashan Nights (once in a month, where Bollywood celebrities come to promote their films). Tech Invent, CU MUN, CU Youth Parliament and many other inter-department activities.

Hostel life at CU is good. we have newly built girls hostel near the MBA block, where we have a total of 8 floors and 2 lifts. There's also a medical room inside the hostel which open 24x7. Female security guards are always present at the main entrance of the hostel. Wardens also live in hostel itself. Apart from this, there's a tuck shop in the mess where you can get chips, cold drinks, biscuits, chocolates, etc. There is one more shop in the hostel where you can get every item of basic needs like maggie, chips, notebooks, pens, toiletries, Cream, etc.

You can take admission on the basis of merit as well as your CAT, GMAT, XAT, or any other competitive exam score. CU also organizes CUCAT for those who haven't given any of the above exams and also provides scholarships on the basis of your graduation percentage. Apart from this, you can also avail scholarship on the basis of any sports if you have played it on any district, state, or national level. There are other scholarships also.
