Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There are 8 semesters in total, 7-8 papers in the first two years, 6 papers in the last two years. The course is very lengthy but interesting one. We have many practical sessions which makes the course interesting.

Placement Experience

5

It is the most professional industry and hence always has demand in the industrial levels. They train us well for this interview process. Some of the companies that recruit from here are SCI, Thome and Synergy, the salary package is also quite impressive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible by most of them, it is Rs 2.5 Lakhs per annum, which is about Rs. 9 Lakhs for the whole course of four years. This is inclusive of all the hostel and food fees. Scholarships and student loans are all available.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships opportunities are very well available at this college. There is a 50% scholarship to the female cadets joining, 1.5 lakhs of scholarship to a student who scores first and 50 thousand to the students who come second and third.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are given as much as importance as the academics at MERI. Events like sports fest, annual event Prajaan with dance and music and DJ war. Essay writing and debates are also part of this.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is quite strong there are a lot of passed out seniors who are in good positions in some great companies, they can refer you and also some of them help us academically. This is one of the oldest institutes in marine engineering hence the network is wide.

Admission

IMU-CET is a exam exclusively arranged for this college. After scoring in this exams you are called for an counselling in which you have to select among the 7 colleges all over India. Many private colleges also accept this score for marine engineering.

Faculty

5

The faculties that we have here are mostly visiting faculties. There are very confident and full of experience with this field. There are some permanent faculties who are as equally talented too. They teach us efficiently all the concepts of this complex course in an easy manner.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
