Remarks
What makes this university so much desirable from the academic point of view is the NAAC A+ ranking the university has recently been awarded, infrastructure, crowd quality, well trained and well accomplished staff members, time to time meetings are arranged with the students, to address any grievances that the students might have. Also from residential point of view the newer hostel buildings are great for a better hostel life. The boys hostels include Nek Chand towers, Le Corbusier towers and Zakir hostel. though the nc and zakir are newly built buildings with facilities like elevators, shops inside the hostel buildings like several food corners in both nc and zakir, a stationary shop in nc-4 daily utility shop and a barber shop at nc-3. The nc 6 tower has ac rooms available as an option, there is just so much to talk about this university, the placements are good the college life is good, what more can you expect from university. just make sure you get 75% attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well for the first year you will have to stick to the common engineering subjects, the teachers are great and you will start to enjoy studying in such a cheerful environment. Well, there are plenty of webinars and seminars that you can attend, to hone your professional skills. the ratio of the faculty member to students is okay I would say as I don't have the exact numbers in front of me as of now. but you surely will enjoy studying in the university as the teachers are a bit strict but also lenient where there is a chance. though the emphasis is given on maintaining a 100% of attendance, you can still be eligible to write exams while having more than 75% attendance.
Placement Experience
the campus placement is good but I don't have anything to say about it as I have not have had a first-hand experience of that as of now.
Campus Life
There are fests nearly every month. either some celebrity comes or the university has some celebration on. its just fest time all the time. For bookworms also the library is filled with all the essential books that you will ever need to not only complete your degree but also for research purposes. all classes have overhead projectors, big windows to look outside when bored from the lectures and etc.
Hostel Facilities
I've talked about the hostel earlier, there is so much good about the university but as always nothing is perfect. The hostel life has its own perks but in summers I faced some issues with the room coolers as they did not work at all, we submitted complaints about it but the issue remained unsolved. but that was the issue in just my room. When I slept in other rooms I had to take a bedsheet with me as it got quite chilled inside once the cooler ducts were switched on. The food is just like a hostel don't expect too much because the food is good but the repetition of anything good makes its worth lessen with time.
