Remarks

It is a very good College if you didn't get a Government College. My Brother has studied from this college and he is very much Satisfied. I think it is one of the best private colleges on the ground level.

Course Curriculum Overview

Every Student gets ample amount of opportunities and time to explore themselves and find more about their interests. The Course Structure allows you to do research in your respective fields. Students aren't bothered by any means. Labs were frequent but I think it is for a good cause.

Placement Experience

As nowadays, it is a kind of cut-throat competition, students are provided with the job and placements but they need to discover & polish new skills in order to be placed in some of the reputed companies. Yes, the college has internship.

College Events

Various types of Technical, Cultural, Management Festivals are held every year, and we, the students, take active participation in each and every festival on a very large scale. Many celebrities and renowned personalities visit our college to encourage and entertain us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say, the fees structure is kind of feasible, but the hostel and mess charges are too expensive. In my branch CSE, it is about 80, 000 per semester, but the hostel charges are 86, 000 for a year. So, there is that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Now a days, Government of India offers the Student Credit Card which credits students the amount of Rs. 5, 00, 000 to students in their Bank Account to attain the kind of study they have dreamt of in their life.

Campus Life

Various type of Extracurricular activities, labs, sports are held in our college. Cricket, Football, Music, Dance, Theatre, art and much more. Regular Competitive Events take place. Students show their keen interest in these kind of events.

Hostel Facilities

Infrastructure of the Hostel is okay and the staffs are not at all helpful. Rooms are average and maintained irregularly. Students can share 2 or 3 Roommate in a single large room, which reduces the cost of living here. In case of a single room, it costs about 86000 if one is willing to live alone.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

College Seniors are good. They help whenever needed, Especially the ones in our hostel help us with their notes as well as the experience and we feel like they are our family members as in our house. They have a lot of time to spend with us.

Admission

I went through Anna university counselling, it was based on the cut off of my 12th marks. We will have certain college to choose based on the marks we have scored in the cut off. It happens in anna university chennai

Faculty

The Faculty of the college are very helpful and very friendly. Whenever a student approches to a faculty, whether it be for doubt- solving or any other thing, They guide with all their knowledge and support.

Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
