Remarks

The college during my days were led by individual folks who had least interest in the college and more interest in accumulating wealth, not sure how the scene now is. That being said, college life is the best experience one has no matter how good or bad the college is.

Entrance Preview

The reference of this college came through an ad, there was no entrance exam. Opted this college since some of my relatives were studying there.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course consisted of Anna University curriculum.Electives: Hindi, Digital Signal Processing, English, Electrical Engineering, Probability and queuing theory, Java Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Very Large Scale integration

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship course offered by the college. The internship that we got that time was from Tata Consultancy services but there was no stipend offered.

Placement Experience

0.5

There were no campus placements, however there was a common placement for students who had an aggregate of 75%+ that was conducted by Anna University in Govt College of Engg, Salem.

College Events

0.5

No festivals in particular, however our department had an association called SPARC run by students which conducted seminars on a quarterly basis. We organized folks from REC's and other prominent colleges to come and conduct seminar.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee consisted of tution fees of Rupees thirty thousand per semester. Considering the year that I passed, it was nominal, not too expensive, not too cheap. The hostel fees and the mess fees were additional that came to about an additional 30k per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were no loan facilties offered by the college, however students did avail loans from leading banks such as SBI. There are no scholarships that were offered during my time, not sure what is the state now.

Campus Life

2.5

The college when i was studying was still in startup mode with little facilties, not sure how the facilties are now, however all the basic facilties for an Engg college was there with Computer, Electronics, Electrical, mechanical labs and also workshop labs.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The hostel had strict rules with study hours between 6-7PM on a daily basis. The mess food was horrible but considering there were no other options nearby we had to live with this.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the alumni now are well placed with jobs abroad and in top MNC's, its little to do with the college and more to do with students themselves that realised that if they did not work hard enough, their chances of landing jobs were slim.

Exam Structure

The internal examinations were pretty much the usual without much of a hectic schedule. The internal exminations had a 2- percent weightage on the overall marks. The external exams were conducted by Anna University.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty consisted of mostly teachers who were fresh out of college and had very minimum teaching experience. Barring a very few, the majority of the teachers were incompetent at their work.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
