Remarks

CGC Landran college is near Mohali, well. mohali is a good area. college has good infrastructure. and has many facilities like hostel facility, sports complex and food courts (Mc Donalds) and much more. college life and student crowd is not so good. infrastructure can be more developed hostel facility can be improved. hostel residents complain about poor quality of food. faculty is 80% well experienced. rest is new and lacks quality teaching. annual tuition fee is about 80 K per year. overall. college is know for engineering course and still possess good degree value.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am studying B.Tech Electronics and communication engineering in cgc landran because I want to develop my skills to become a good software engineer. The quality of teaching in our college is average. Because they follow the old curriculum which does not include latest technology lile AI and ML which is in trend now a days. What we study in our college is not sufficient but it we build some skills according to today's technology then it is easy for every student to become job ready.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a very good placement record. The average package here is 5 lakh per annum. The college has a special training and placement department which ensure proper training of every student. Students can get many chances for securing a quality job. Many companies visit the campus for placement which provides a great opportunity to students.

College Events

4

There is one annual fest that is celebrated every year in the month of November. The fest is termed as Parivartan and every year it has a theme according to that it is celebrated during this fest there a many cultural, social, and other activities are there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

BTech here cost around 4 lakhs and the hostel charges for the same cost 4 lakhs too. I think it is worth money as we get a good platform to get job as many companies visit the campus for the placement. College also provide scholarship to meritorious students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed for any scholarships. But Yes there are scholarship and loan available for those students who really need it.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is very enjoyable and one can never feel bored here. Campus has full equipment for sports along with volleyball, basketball and cricket pitch. Food court is also situated inside the campus with reasonable rate and also contain subway. The campus also has many gardens and fountain chowks. Overall college life is very amazing.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are either 2 students in one room or 3 student in 1 room or4 students in a room. But PGs and Flats are available near the college. So it's not a problem at all.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors of the college are very supportive. You can get in contact with them through the various events, competition that are held regularly in the college. Yes every year there is alumi meet where you can interact with them.

Admission

We wrote Eamcet exam in combined Andhra Pradesh in 2014. With that marks, I have applied for different colleges through a website and I got into MGIT(Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology) college. It took around 3 months to complete this process.

Faculty

3.5

Academics is also very good teachers provide very usefull notes they are always ready for the help and support practicals are done on time even teachers help us in the projects which is other from the academic. Teachers are friendly and maintain a good quality of the education. Teachers maintain the interest of class towards the lecture. Moreover all the faculty members are providing proper material for the course.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
