Remarks

The faculty are very friendly and the campus life is good. The Campus Recruitment Cell works very hard for the placement of students. The management is also good. There are student care centers in almost every block of the campus for the assistance of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, the curriculum is regularly updated according to the industry standards. The syllabus and subjects get updated almost after every semester so that the students are up-to-date with the latest skills. Also, the university has collaborated with IBM for Industrial Programs like Information Security, Big Data Analysis and Cloud Computing.

Placement Experience

4.5

The university has a separate department to handle everything related to placements called the Campus Recruitment Cell (CRC). The university is making great efforts to provide placement opportunities to each and every one of their students. The students who wish to get campus placements need to get registered as a TPP(Training and Placement Program) student. In TPP, the students get trained for interviews and pre-interview rounds like Group Discussions, Aptitude tests, Technical tests and interviews, etc. This TPP program starts on the second year or 4th semester and is a year long. TPP students get two extra subjects in their curriculum, namely Aptitude and Soft Skills and also need to some extra workshops. Also, the university holds placement camps of 2-3 weeks before the placement season. More than 300 companies visited the campus last placement season including tech giants like Google, Microsoft, IBM, etc. Most companies have an Aptitude online test as their first round, followed by a group discussion round, followed by 1-2 technical interviews and a hr interview. Almost about 80% students get placed by the end of their course or degree.

College Events

4

There are a ton of events happening in the campus almost every week. The university holds national level events and festivals as well as university level events inside the university premises. A lot of Bollywood and Pollywood movie stars and singers visit the university for promotion of their movies. This happens almost 2-3 times in a month. Big personalities like Akshay Kumar, Kail Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and many more have visited the campus till date. National level youth festivals and technical festivals are held in the university once a year. University students from a over India participate in these events. Moreover, many exclusive events for the university students are held for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is a bit on the higher side but lower than other private colleges like VIT and SRM. There are several modes of payment like - Cash, cheque, bank transfer and online payment on the university website which include payment through credit card, debit card and net banking. No additional fees is required to get admission in the university. Yes, the university provides transparency in the fee-breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't opt for any scholarships. The university provides scholarships on various grounds like on merit based on marks scored in class 12, JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED rank, and also on the basis of the CUCET exam which is held by the university. The university also provide scholarships based on sports and caste quota.

Campus Life

4

In the engineering departments, in a class of 70 students, the average boy to girl ratio is 40:30. The university organizes freshers party each year and the college festival each year, both of which are huge events spread all across the campus with various activities. The university has a diverse and rich culture with students coming from all over india and some international students too. The university has almost all of the sports facilities available inside the campus. These include basketball courts, football grounds, etc. The campus has a good atmosphere and has a strict no-ragging policy. There are over 30-40 shops in the university which offer various different kinds of food to eat. These include Dominos and Subway too. Sports, debate, acting, modelling, and various other competitions take place in the campus all around the year. There are various societies and departments which a student can be a part of.

Hostel Facilities

3

Although I have not opted for hostel, I know about the facilities as I have visited and lived a few days with my friends in the hostel. The hostel room are on a sharing basis. 4 students share a room. The rooms have 1-2 coolers for summers and 4 single beds. The rooms are cleaned by maids hired by the university. In case of PGs, there are a lot of options nearby the campus. Most of the students who don't opt for the Hostels, rent and share flats in nearby societies. Fully Furnished Studio rooms with all facilities like air conditioners, refrigerators, a bed and a fan cost about Rs 6000-8000 per month whereas 2BHK and 3BHK apartments cost about RS. 12000-16000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are very friendly and help clear our doubts and queries. The university also holds events for interaction with alumni and seniors for placement and study perspective. I interacted with some of my seniors to understand more about the industry trends and learning what technologies and holding which certifications would be beneficial for me in the future.

Admission

I selected this university because it has a good placement record and due to recommendations from alumnis. Also, it is just 25kms from my home. The admission process is fairly simple. I visited the university website and filled an application form. In a day or two, I got a call and an email with a link to upload some documents and to pay the application fees. That was all for the admission process. After successful verification of my documents, I received a communication regarding the orientation schedule in the university premises, and the rest of the formalities were completed there.

Faculty

4

There are 12-15 subjects in each semester (including both theory and practical subjects), depending upon the course. The minimum qualification required to be a faculty is a Master's degree. Most of the teachers in the university are aged between 25-40 years and some of them hold industry experience too.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
