Remarks
The College is overall good but there are some negative points too. The best part is placements that there are more than 200 companies coming having 100% placements. There is lot of strictness of time like getting in at 9:35 ( college starts at 9:30 ) will be either a Fine or a Closed Gates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is quite well. The degree is having subjects sponsored by IBM having some special subjects related to Information Security having a good focus on Research. The exam structure on the other hand is quite well, there are 2 Mid Sems and End Sems at the last with marks distribution of 60 of External and Rest of Internals ( Assignments and All ).
Placement Experience
The best part about the college is the Placements. Our college has been listed in Limca's Book of World Records for highest number of Placements. Yes, The college provides internships. There are more than 200 Companies coming all the way starting from IBM, Microsoft, Google to Cognizant, Accenture Etc. The Stipend of the Internships goes on around 10-20K on an Average.
College Events
There are way too much events celebrated in the college. Most of them are related to Celebrities coming in the campus. Some of them are related to Fest or DJ Nights and all. There's a Tech Fest too in which there is an great exhibition of Projects made by Students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The Fee structure is Feasible, There is an Option for the Part Payment as well in which we can pay some of the amount in one go and rest later on. As the Course is Powered by IBM, The fees is 15K higher than Normal CSE.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a Scholarship exam of CUSAT in which students can redeem upto 40-60% scholarship. The exam is quite useful but in my case I wasn't able to use by availed scholarship. All the courses powered by IBM are not allowed for scholarship. And for the Loan Students, They need to show some sort of receipt to the Accounts Department then there Fees is Updated on the Platform.
Campus Life
There are Badminton, Cricket and Football tournaments going on almost all the times. The labs are quite well setup with good Internet Connection and Hardware too. The internet speed is quite good and there is a Firewall to ban some sort of Vulgar Sites.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no such Senior Interaction session in this college. There is just a session of Peer Mentoring in the 3rd Year in which some of the placed seniors come and tell us about there journey. Alumni session is not something I've listened till now in this college.
Admission
The admission is way too easy. There is an entrance exam named CUSAT, To get admission. My main focus was on Information Security from the very beginning, I searched for all the college's having such degree, I found 4-5 of them and the Best I found was Chandigarh University.
Faculty
The faculty is well trained with there subjects. Some of the faculties have mastery in more than 1 subject too. As there are special subjects of IBM, There are special trained faculties from IBM according to the subject, changing every semester.
