About college life and study

If i talk about the infrastructure, staff members,academics standard of the college then it is very good but their rules are very strict related to wearing id cards, attendance otherwise it is a good place to admission for any course.

In the beginning of the course they make sure your basics should be very clear so in the first year they focus on basic subjects like maths, chemistry, physics but as we proceed in the course the subjects are very interesting and we came to know in deep about petroleum industry also there was industrial visit on end of every year.

As we know petroleum engineering is not big field in india and not more colleges are offering this course and companies also go to recruit in top institutions like iit,upes etc.Also we have arrange internship of our own responsibility but so far i have not went for any internship.

Every year our college celebrates many cultural, technical events. If I talk about this year punjab youth festival was held in our university and our college was overall champion of this festival. These events were celebrated on a large scale and participants were came from various universities and colleges. Also various Bollywood celebrities and actors came in our university to perform.

Our program fee is 65000/semester and this can be paid via cash at fee counter of university but anyone wants to pay online then fee can be paid via netbanking,cards etc. There is 1500 extra for examination fee. There is transparency in fee breakdown.

Yes, the college offers scholarship to students on basis of sports, academic excellence and also children of army men. For scholarship on basis of sports one must have palyed any sports on state or national level and for the academic scholarship on must obtained atleast 90 percent marks in previous year or class.

It's been a very good journey so far studying in this university because of student diversity as students from various states and countries come to this university so there is very much to learn from their culture. Also the labs for performing various practical experiments are present and various courts, grounds are available to play every type of sports. Our campus is anti ragging so every student can enjoy in the campus.

As I am from Ludhiana which is 2 hrs away from college so i did not avail the facility of any hostel or pg and i used to daily up-down from home to college. But my friends are residing in hostel and according to them accommodation and food quality of hostel is very good.

No, from my side i didn't get a chance to talk to seniors or any alumini. But our college arrange any alumni visit or expert talk every semester for students to know their experience.

I want to do something different and exciting because in engineering field computer science, mechanical, electrical, civil are common fields that's why i chose petroleum engineering as course to build my carrer. Chosing Chandigarh University for course was only option because in punjab it was only institution offering a full time graduation in petroleum engineering.

As it is very rare field of engineering so the strength of students is very less hence faculty members are also lesser in number But talking about the qualifications of teachers majority of teachers are phd and have very deep knowledge and experience in this field.
