The college should start providing good placements to students so that they don't have to suffer alot.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for Gujarat common entrance test and got admission through councilling in the course I selected. The admission process was quite long and it took two long months to get d course and college of my choice. I had the option of chemical engineering but depending upon the carrier opportunities in future for the same I opted for instrumentation and control engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum included some basic subjects of engineering like basic electronics,engineering graphics,mathematics,physics,microprocessor which were really interesting subjects.apart from studies the students were supposed to organise some events based on technical knowledge and cultural events also. There were few seminars in last two years of course based on the core subjects.
Internships Opportunities
There was no stipend offered to students in their internship. Students were allowed to choose their internship in their choice of company. My experience during internship was awesome. I could learn so many paratical things which I was unable to in the college. I took internship at IFFCO kalol.
Placement Experience
Our college didnot provide any placements. There were no companies called for the placements. Because of this we even talked to our principal but there was no step taken properly.
College Events
During the whole duration of course we participated in many robotic events and cultural events. There were some inter college drama n debate competition as well in which I represented my college and could win the same. The events which took place in our college weds managed well by the student volunteers and our faculty provided very good support.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The government colleges in Gujarat has very feasible fee structure. Being a girl I got the privilege. And we used to pay only ?1420 as the fee for per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Sponsorship was given to the students of reserved category. As I belonged to general category I didn't get any sponsorship.
Campus Life
The campus life was really good.the events taught us how to manage all the things and also taught us d spirit of sportsmanship when we used to lose any debate or robotics. There was no gender biasing.everyone got equal opportunity to present themselves in the best way out.there was a committee which used to take care of any misbehaviour occurring inside the campus with any female student. Our hostels were not allowed to party after 9pm. But the students used to secretly do it.
Hostel Facilities
The food was not at all good bht the rooms are definitely very well maintained.toilets got cleaned daily.
Alumni/Alumna
We are still in contact of many senior students. Our college arranges few reunion party in which we are able to remain in contact with many alumni of our college.
Exam Structure
The semester consisted of two exams and monthly test. At the end of the semester there were final exams of 70 marks. The internal exam was of 30 marks whose marks were calculated in the final result. Our lab attendance and efficiency in the practicals were also calculated. However the faculty for lab was chilled out so we didn't find any difficulty during that.
Faculty
The senior faculty was very knowledgeable and supportive towards the problems faced by students. There were few visiting faculty also with whom the students could get along very well as they were young and full of energy.
