Remarks

The college is very good in case of placements but the facilities are the area where a lot of improvement can be done. Alot of inexperienced teachers are there in the university, one has to strut on his own to learn and develop skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is accort toh the industry standards, the syllabus is set up very precisely with industrial experts giving their opinion. The university has a dedicated CAB board for the research and set up of the curriculum. We have N number of companies visit for guests lectures and seminars.

Class Size: 1000

Placement Experience

Cognizant Wipro Google Amazon Microsoft HashedIn Mindtree Informatica Byju's Bank of American The list is so long that I can't describe here Criteria is mostly no backlogs and 70+ throughout the academics. Placements are commendable in this university.

College Events

3.5

Events are just happening throughout the year in this university, many celebrities have visited the university. Every type of events be it cultural, technical happen in the university and are well funded. Anyone can take part in them and show there skill off.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my batch that is 2015-2019 for my course B.E CSE. PER SEMESTER -60000. EVERY YEAR HOSTEL -70000. Every semester examination -900. College fest-500 once a year. 2000 security refunded at the end of 4 years. All modes be it net banking/debit/credit cards DEMAND DRAFT are available. No additional admission fee is applicable. Compared to other universities at my time it was quite feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, as per the scores for test CU-SAT and you marks in 10th and 12th class, the college does provide scholarship. 80% was the minimum 12th and 10th percentage required for scholarship. No, I did not applied for educational loan.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is very good and I should say well maintained as well there is alot of security of girls University is full of female and male guards. Hostels have every year hostel parties, there are many events happening round the year in the university and there are also many clubs be it dancing, coding, debating and sports and are well funded so no issues there.

Alumni/Alumna

The university has a dedicated portal named as CU-ALUMNIA, where placed students are registered, so that juniors can get in touch with them.

Admission

I chose to be part of this university as the placement of this university for B. E. CSE stream is commendable. Almost every big company be it Microsoft, Amazon, Google and 100+ companies visit every year. Admission process is straight forward go visit the university and fill in all the details with your 10 and 12 marksheets and you are good to go. Admission begin from May every year.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is not very well, most of the teachers are young and inexperienced. You are on your own when it comes to learn and develop skills. The teaching is done in a way that just the ppt is read out in the class. I was not at all happy with the faculty.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
