Remarks

Overall it was a quite decent management but T&P department alone don't respond to our queries very quickly. They do but not that quick. Except this, Everything is fair and very decent management too. Also the facilities like High speed WiFi, Library, Sports are damn good. Overall, I assure you that you will come with lots and loads of memories and with pretty good placement too.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum includes many useful courses like Digital Electronics, Electronic Circuits etc. also the curriculum covers all the subjects which are included in GATE syllabus with adequate laboratory sessions which will help you to perform research and acquire more practical knowledge and very fair too. Also the knowledge on these subjects will help you to crack many CORE companies. The thing you learn in lab sessions is high when compared to classes in SASTRA which in turn make you professional.

Placement Experience

4

Around 98% students got placed in SASTRA. Also 60% of them got internships too. T&P department prepares you for placements from 5th semester. CISCO offers highest package of 29 LPA & Sutherland offers least package of 1. 8 LPA. Top Recruiters like AMAZON, CISCO, TCS digital, Caterpillar, ZOHO have been visited. I have placed in a CORE company called COREEL technologies which offers a package of 4 LPA & also placed in TCS digital with a package of 7 LPA.

College Events

4

There are three fests called DAKSH(technical fest), KURUKSASTRA(cultural fest), COLLOSEUM(sports fest) where other college students compete with SASTRAITES. These fests helps us to increase our talent every year. Also there are departmental fests like SANKALP for ECE where juniors compete with seniors which helps juniors to increase their skill. Management is very supportive in conducting these skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure includes 60000(tution fee) for every semester and an annual fee of 12000 for hostel and a monthly fee of 3500 for mess and an annual fee of 1500 for sports. All these fees were completely paid through online where they will create an account in city union bank during first semester. Entire fee will be paid through city union bank. College is transparent about fees that every single rupee you paid them is mentioned in Parent web Interface of SASTRA.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are three scholarships called Deans list, Hostel merit scholarship, National scholarship. Deans list is offered to course top 10% CGPA holders and Hostel scholarship is given to top 2% CGPA holders. NS is given in first semester depending on your +2 score. You can only avail all scholarships only if you pay mess fee & exam fee without any delay. Education loan can be given in campus itself in banks like City union Bank, Punjab National Bank. An avg sum of 37000 can be earned every year if you are a merit student.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very comfortable and there is nothing like raging and sexual harassment. Gender ratio, its mostly like 55:45 (55 boys & 45 girls) and there are many student teams which promote culture, ethics and values. also there are some student teams in every department which conducts workshops for every two months and helps juniors to gain extra technical knowledge. Also there are many sport teams like cricket, basket ball, badminton etc & each sport has a renowned coach who helps us to excel in that sport.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted hostel. Hostel rooms are quite comfortable but Hostel food is not that great. They cost an annual fee of 12000 for hostel. 24/7 High speed wifi has been provided in Hostel and warden helps us to figure out any issue and hospital is open 24/7 in case of any emergencies. Also hot water is available in winter. Also 24/7 gym facility also available for every hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

It was a pretty good experience where our seniors come to us and share their job experience. Also shows a way to crack better placements and they also share their mistakes which they have done during their placement.

Admission

I got the admission through the merit list given by SASTRA. Initially, you have to apply through the website and submit your mains Score and IPE score. Taking these two as consideration (75% mains + 25% IPE) taking these cumulative score, SASTRA will announce your rank. Depending on your rank you will be able to get appropriate rank. The admissions will open by May and end by June. Ranks and counselling process will be done in July. I have chosen ECE because the chance of Govt Job Opportunities in ECE is more when compared to any other branch.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty those who teach classes have done thier PhD in reputated colleges(almost 80% have done their PhD in IIT's) also those who teach Lab sessions are currently doing their PhD under renowned professors of SASTRA. They are very friendly to students i. e. We can go directly to their cabins and can clarify out queries. They are well Knowledged, very friendly and very active too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
